It’s official…

A few days after Christopher Bell spilled the beans, Joe Gibbs Racing officially announced Chase Briscoe will drive the 19 starting next year.

Just remembered the time earlier this year when Shohei Ohtani signed with the Dodgers and sports media, other LA teams, and the City of Los Angeles treated him like he hadn’t played for the Angels for the last six years and it was his first time in the city.

What a weird time for an East Coast team to do a uniform reveal.

Anyway, this uniform isn’t great.

Noah Gragson: unusual pick considering the last 2 times he was with Toyota it ended on bad terms (Legacy found any reason to get rid of him because they were switching to Toyota and they didn’t want him) but he already has the bass pro sponsorship with him. 
 

Cory Heim: he’s been more linked with 23XI but Truex’ retirement changes things and Joe Gibbs may force them to let them have Cory.

 

Chandler Smith: the move up to xfinity makes sense, and is more popular to sponsors than Sheldon Creed who’s been using TRD for a lot of the year.

 

of those options I give chandler smith having the best odds with Corey heim still going to 23XI. I think there is still too much bad blood between Noah and Toyota for him to go there one year after they nearly ended his cup career.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we get another Cindric-Burton situation with Heim flipping from 23XI to JGR

The white Bengals and now white Vikings helmet are the two most unnecessary things to happen in the past couple seasons. There’s nothing cool about removing nearly all trace of an official team color solely for the purpose of achieving the “icy white ” look. How far the league has fallen.

The greatest part about the Color Rush trend was it took exactly one game for the league to figure out that not all matchups can be color vs color and had to start having visiting teams wear all white.

Also, what dumba** in charge of the uniforms decided both of these teams should wear all navy and scheduled to play each other?
