  1. Brandon Jones’ throwback to Dale Jr’s 2018 Hellmann’s scheme is incredibly hilarious when you remember the fact that Hellmann’s is still a JRM partner and still actively sponsors some of the other cars at the team

And even so, Friday and Saturday NFL football is illegal until December, due to the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961. So unless the NFL wants to get their anti-trust exemptions stripped away from them (and all the other pro sports leagues,) those two aren't gonna happen.

That's why as soon as CFB ends, the NFL is doing Saturday Night Football.

You’re talking about the same league that shuns its players, current and former, for betting, yet actively promoting sports betting and  has a sports betting league partner.

If there’s gambling and betting, the NFL will be involved. Don’t put it past them to do sneaky :censored:.

    Football Fans: I love football.

Goodell: Here have some more games.

Football Fans: Whoa man, that's way too much football.

Goodell: I thought you liked football? How about three helmets?

Football Fans: I don't like football anymore.

No one said we want more  football. We just want good  football.

  4. • 18 game schedule

    • 2 bye weeks for each team

    • Preseason reduced to 2 games

    • Playoffs expanded to 16 teams

    That what will likely happen.

Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if they started playing the conference championships at neutral sites.

Of course, players would benefit from no Thursday games (outside of Thanksgiving), but that season long premise isn’t going anywhere. Unfortunately, neither are games on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday.

So Washington takes Daniels at #2 to be their new franchise QB, but they also sign Hartman as an undrafted FA. Obviously not the same as drafting a second QB in the 3rd round, but this is feeling a little too much like 2012. I honestly don't even understand how Hartman went undrafted, and I don't understand how the NFL grades quarterbacks anymore. Ten to fifteen years ago, I feel like he's exactly the style of QB teams looked for, and he would have been a 3rd or 4th rounder. But the position has changed so much that now teams are trading up to #10 to draft J.J. F🤬ing McCarthy, on the off chance he has even a fraction of Mahomes' talent (He doesn't).

FWIW, Hartman’s contract with the Commanders is one of the largest for undrafted free agents at $245k guaranteed. He’s likely to make the roster right off the bat. Beating out Jake Fromm and Jeff Driskel for QB3.

Speaking of 2012, Kyle Shanahan had an interview at some point this past season where he described in detail how they had planned to sit at R1P6, draft Ryan Tannehill, then turn around and draft Russell Wilson. Oh, what could’ve been.

I think next year would be the best time to try it. With three red jersey teams, having the Panthers wear a  sky blue jersey when playing the Stallions or Defenders would be a great move. Actually, having the Defenders go back to a red helmet would be a good move as well. Apparently ESPN's helmet matchup yesterday still used the red helmet from 2020.  I should have taken a screen cap.

Florida State’s turquoise jerseys are the best comparison we currently have to know what that would look like-

Get ready for a pointless brown helmet. This was such a terrible decision by the league. I don't know how much more revenue alternate helmets will generate, but I can't imagine it's enough to justify the NFL looking like a semi-pro league.

See the problem is teams not having the self restraint. No one said all 32 teams have to have three helmets, let alone two.

Have NFL players been complaining about materials or templates? I’d wager that most of them think the designs are 🔥🔥🔥, and the changes in templates / tailoring are, while IMO unnecessary, at worst benign (to players - I hate the big V seam on the current model).

How often does the league change templates?  There should be some type of restriction on that as well. If a team has to wait 5 years for a change, Nike should have to wait 5 years to implement a league-wide template change.

Iowa State with new jerseys. Striping looks like the Browns jersey with the current ISU number font. Fans are hoping the fourth jersey is yellow.

Had to sit here and realize I wasn’t looking at a Commanders new uniform set tease

Looks like Williams will go with #18 (likely because Keenan Allen is #13 and got there first); Odunze with #15.
