It won't factor into the College Football Playoff, as they're amending the eligibility requirements to needing a minimum of 8 members to eligible for an automatic bid. But they are given a 2-year grace period to add enough members to reach the NCAA-required 6 for conferences or find a new conference.

The most logical way to do this is to poach 4-6 Mountain West teams. Swinging for the fences would be just merging with the MW outright. They could even lure some FCS regional teams into the mix. Say South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Montana, and/or Montana State.

Would there actually be a PAC-2-PAC conference default championship game until WSU and OSU can find a permanent conference?

Wake Forest in the Big 12 seems like a decent fit.

 

I think I’d put FSU in the B1G. Expanding south now that they’ve gone west seems like a natural progression. To make things even, swap either Virginia or VT to the SEC. Giving the conference a higher footprint would be a win.

I partially think Arizona added grey/silver in an effort to potentially add a fourth grey uniform.

 

Either that, or it was added, someone said “we don’t need that”, but it was too late in the process and the team rolled with it.

The helmet numbers for Pittsburgh should be switched to yellow when wearing the color rush

Ya know, saving half the teams from each league isn’t a bad thing. Especially if the remaining teams are being “shelved” for 2025.

 

16 teams in a complete league reboot is a tall task.

Obviously I prefer the white over yellow, but I don’t mind the bone over yellow.

The supposed new league name is UFL (United Football League). If that’s the case, is this legally possible? The old UFL lasted from 09-12.
