13-10. The Big Ten West is going out with a BANG.
For the Huskers, it’s year one game one of the Rhule tenure, but losing this way is what the last two regimes did a bunch of.
Still, I think strategically he’s got the right idea, but if he’s hitching his wagon to Jeff Sims at qb this is gonna be a long year.
Time will only tell if he corrects the mistakes or if he’s another dud.

Week 0 Observations
- Vandy doesn't look half bad, shiny helmets and stripes go a long way, though that logo has only shrunk on me.
- The Golden Panthers of FIU have so little gold on their uniforms its shameful
- I guess LA Tech's new uniform design was only for the blues, the reds look the same as last year.
- SDSU/Ohio, great looking game

I really liked the big birds in the key. Hopefully the new court has some personality to it.

Have there been many other examples of this in the NFL?
EDIT: I had to mess with it forever but I can post twitter links again!

Agreed. Games just feel bigger when they’re on TNT, and their color commentators also tank the broadcast team. Most of that spectacle comes from Inside the NBA too, which is a show I love dearly but is better the less it talks about basketball.
For ESPN, Breen/Jeff/Mark were amusing, but Breen was the only one capable of rising to the moment. I don’t see Doris/Doc doing anything to fix that.
Like this past NBA Finals felt especially mailed in. NBATV actually did a far better job with pre and postgame coverage than the flagship network.

Well we know that twitter.com links embed and it looks like yours shows up as twitter.com; Germanshepherd posted x.com link and didn't embed, which was why I suggested using twitter.com. Does it work for you when you switch it to x.com?
I tried both and it didn’t work. I think it might just be a me problem. Imgur links stopped displaying years ago so I switched to Twitter which just now stopped working

Looks like itd be a better license plate/tourism billboard than a jersey, but still works pretty well.
Also, I guess tweets don’t automatically embed anymore. Thanks Elon.

Not mad at this look at all for Purdue, even if I do think their ideal set is something train-themed.
The double outline isn’t great, but doesn’t tank the look either imo. I actually think the modern template makes it look better than the original.

At first glance the new Cardinals all-reds registered as the old uniforms, so I’d say they’re just as bad as what they replaced.

Those absolutely did not need a reveal. What a letdown.

I'd imagine they keep a non-conference matchup going moving forward
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State decided to kill their series. Washington already cares about Oregon more anyways. It’s not without precedent.

Washington could play Rutgers but not Washington State.
Good job everyone.

At this point we either end up with
A. Super-large 24+ team conferences that have divisions that vaguely resemble the old conferences we know and love
B. A super-league of 24 teams with everybody else being in lower conferences that vaguely resemble the ones we know and love
I don’t know when we end up with those, but all these years in between are going to suck.

Well well well.
Really funny how the national TV media talked him up and we (myself included) all thought that this was baseless media hype for the rare marketable cfb coach.
All the people who claim to know this sport had detailed reasons why they would be bad.
Now Colorado is 1-0.
I don’t even like the guy, but this is too funny.
