  1. The Minnesota Wild Stars? What a great identity. (Totally not sarcasm)
  2. He's also a human being. Human beings have opinions. He shared his opinion. Human beings have opinions? From being on this site, I would have never guessed that.
  3. You guys are dissecting the analysis of baseball from a professional comedian. His whole job is to say things, even if they aren't completely true, to bring shock value. He's doing a good job.
  4. It was good. Just like every single other NOB on every other jersey in the first round. (With the exception of Mariota, so no one corrects me.)
  5. You're on a website that is logo database and you have to ask? So you don't have to look, yes. Only since 1987....or 1968....depending on which one.The website does not have the logo that I seen on ESPN earlierLogo....or wordmark....?

  7. Should be a good close up on it when he gets pulled halfway through the first period too.
  8. The Wild's entire jersey history has never even come close to this. If I had my way, the Wild would be renamed the North Stars, however, I would absolutely keep the Wild's logo as part of the identity, at least for an alternate jersey. I would put the Wild logo on the pants of this jersey if it ever happened, which it never will unfortunately. And thank goodness. Those two combined would make ZERO sense. If the Lightning can have a wordmark for their third jersey and Columbus can have a roundel logo on their third jersey that's not on their main jerseys, I'm sure the Wild could pull it off too and do just fine.Riddle me on how you mix the bear head logo and the North Stars logo? That'd be like combining the Islanders and the Stars logos to your package, seperately, but intertwine them. So because the Wild have a good logo, let's bring back the North Stars and incorporate the Wild logo into it...? Am I following here? Yes and no. I would leave the North Star jerseys the same. I wouldn't alter them, they are way too nice to do that. What I would do is make an alternate that uses the Wild logo. RollTribe, I honestly don't get you. If the Rangers can use Lady Liberty, the Blue Jackets can use the Cannon logo on their third jersey, the Oilers can use a Futuristic Gear, the Sabres can use a Crossing Swords logo, the Stars can use the Mooterus, Boston and their yellow bear jersey, and Calgary can all of a sudden use the Flaming Horse as an alternate jersey, why can't they use the Wild logo for an alternate if they were the North Stars again? I really couldn't be much clearer. Monkeypower summed it up pretty well. It'd be like if the Avalanche started using the Nordiques logo as well.
  9. Why change? They look good and fit snug. They don't have to deal with crazy collars and sweatboxes. They probably do it because it looks better aestheticly. Keep it. You might be in the minority on this one. If Iowa State wants to keep the look, then why is it the fact other Division I schools decided not to keep the same look? Probably because they like and even love the new Elite 51 jerseys and its look better then they did with the old mesh jerseys. I personally started to like the fabric myself even though it took me awhile to get used to it. And as far as the "sweatboxes" are concerned, you don't hardly notice it except during the beginning of the college football season when temperatures are still warm and muggy. By October when temps start to cool off, you don't recognize them at all. Elite 51 looking better would be your opinion. The rest of the statement is basically "everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn't they?" Should they get a chrome finish helmet too since everyone is doing it?
  10. That looks fantastic. Leave "wheat" as a logo accent, it doesn't look good with that dark shade of green. I completely agree. I love the white on top of the green. It would be an awesome tribute to the North Stars as well. I just realized that their new road jersey is a bit of a tribute to the North Stars as well, with the green shoulder yoke. Ever since the Wild brought out their current green alternate, I've always thought they would look good with a cream road jersey, but after looking at this, I think this is what they should do instead. Now, on a different note, can somebody please tell the Capitals to hurry up and go back to the throwbacks full time. They are absolutely awesome and they looked great against the Islanders in the First Round and they looked great against the Rangers last night. Now they just need to bring back the red throwback. How are any of the jerseys, even those concepts, a nod to the North Stars? This comment is a HUGE stretch. They never wore that striping pattern. The hem stripes always consisted of at least 2 colors. They also had an on again/off again shoulder yoke. A green shoulder yoke by no means is a nod to the North Stars, who's white jerseys didn't have a shoulder yoke for 10 years until the rebranded.
  11. Looks as such: 4 helmets (Black, Gold, White, Silver) 3 jerseys (Black, White, Silver) 4 pants (Black, Gold, White, Silver)
  12. http://bsndenver.com/leaked-photos-of-the-new-cu-unis/ Looks promising for CU.

  15. Also, I dislike all laces on hockey jerseys. They just seem so contrived, particularly on newer looks. It's not functional. It would be like if a football team came out with a helmet that mimicked the pattern of old leather helmets (don't say Michigan). I mean, there would be certain times that would look appropriate, but for the most part it would be dumb. In response to the leather pattern... Nike went away from a traditional collar to Flywire and everyone had a fit. "Classic" collars are basically already suitable for all jerseys. Should soccer teams avoid the collar of a polo look because it serves no function as well? No, it's a classic soccer look, just as lace-ups are to hockey.
  16. Another original six team who doesn't use them currently. I'm very traditional-minded about most things. But I just think they're overused these days. Haven't used them since the mid-60s....They are not being overused. 14 teams use them in their primaries. It's a commonly used collar for hockey sweaters.
  17. They also haven't had lace collars since 1974.
  18. It's a traditional collar that has been used in almost all the existence of hockey. It definitely adds to the uniform with a classic look. You don't see lace ups on modern sweaters such as Washington, LA, etc. It is pretty limited to classic templates sweaters. Lace ups out of hockey would be so wrong.

  20. I always wanted phoenix/arizona to be named "the lights" after the the ufo sighting.Glad you weren't in charge of naming the team then....
  21. North Dakota has a logo...an interlocking ND, also a wordmark with the state in it....being that they have no nickname, they pretty much have everything covered logo and lack of nickname wise. So as just The University of North Dakota, they have an ND logo and a logo incorporating the state, which mean they have logos representing their name.
  22. Praise wore #11 in college at North Dakota too. So it's pretty normal to me anyway.
