  1. Two things from Twins-Astros today: Those 'Twin Cities' uniforms are gorgeous The Astros paired their orange jerseys with the orange-billed cap. They haven't worn that cap much recently, so it might now be getting paired with the orange jersey instead of it's original purpose as a road cap
  2. Maybe I'm biased, but those new Twins home whites are sexy af
  3. I'd say keep them wearing team pants and hat, but they don't have to wear a jersey. Literally nothing would change since most managers wear a hoodie or windbreaker over their jersey to begin with
  4. Also I'm sure everyone here would love to know that every team with an ad patch lost on opening day
  5. The white trim on the black jersey always screamed "little league jersey" to me
  6. I could stomach ads a lot easier if they were required to be team colors. Wouldn't be great still, but would be a significant improvement
  7. Some takeaways from Twins vs Royals today: Royals really need to keep those pants around. Great throwback look today Salvador Perez had a captain 'C' patch on his uniform. I don't think we've seen that in MLB since Jason Varitek Those new greys for the Twins are sharp. Everything looked great today. The pinstripes are subtle from a distance but look great up close. I also love the throwback striping pattern. Calls back to the 70s and 80s. The new Twins 'M' hat looks way better in game than it did during the reveal. I actually really like how that turned out And non-uniform related, but the pitch clock was fantastic. 2-0 final with 12 combined hits that was played in 2:35. Amazing pace
  8. I have a feeling the Twins' city connect will be powder blue and throwback-esque due to the amount of powder blue still being used in social media graphics
  9. Minnesota Washington Oregon's Rose Bowl helmets from a few years ago (chef's kiss)
  10. If the Reds dropped every ounce of black but kept everything else, their current uniforms would be outstanding, but as of now they're meh
  11. They wore the blue jersey against Australia I believe
  12. Might just be getting rid of the remaining stock
  13. I will say the undershirt situation on that player (is that Vance Worley?) makes it look like the jersey doesn't even fit right
  14. I think the perfect Twins set would be: 2023 white 2023 grey 2023 navy 2023 cream 2016-22 red w/no gold and new TC powder blue with the 2023 Twins script That would be such a damn good uniform set. Especially if you mixed in the updated red hat with the powder blue
  15. The only thing the Nats need to bring back from that set is the DC hat
  16. mlbshop.com has the DR, Mexico, and Panama with contrasting bills
  17. Is the number and NOB also stupidly small? I will say if the lettering and number were bigger, those greys would look very nice
  18. I'm just gonna say that anybody that hates the Twins' white-panel helmet hates fun
  19. The Orioles still do it. White panel cap at home, all black on road, black O's hat with the black jersey
  20. The gold was ugly and created two separate identities for home and away. I'm glad it's gone Those have been our colors since 1928 when we were in Washington. We aren't changing them, get over it The lack of outline makes them stand out from other R/W/N teams. And I didn't know the Rangers had a trademark on a striping pattern I didn't know the Royals had a trademark on scripts on a baseball jersey, and their jerseys are literally a rip-off of the Dodgers. Ours is at least unique in having the underline detached from the script.
  21. Interesting note: the Mariners implied they had to get rid of their powder blue spring training jersey because of Nike's new "4+1" rule, as they were not in compliance with the rule with the grey jersey and the powder blue. But the White Sox are still repping their "retro logo-current colors" spring training jersey, which brings them to 5+1. God none of this makes any sense
  22. The Cubs haven't worn the royal blue alternates with pinstripe pants for years. It's strictly a road alternate
  23. Because US flag code is legally non-binding to begin with
  24. It wouldn't make any sense since teams play in either the day or under the lights
