  1. The Packers yet again refuse to make historically accurate numbers, and this is the easiest historic number set to get right since its still being cut and sewn on jerseys in San Francisco and throwbacks in Indianapolis.   Also, the green could definitely be brighter; it looks like they're using their current forest green rather than kelly green.  However, I do love that the logos are based on the coaches' gear, but I doubt the font that is being used is historically accurate, even though there wasn't a lot of source pixels to work with; the hat and shirt logos were most likely blockier.

Brighter green, blockier logos and correct number font:

This is all true except the last part. Because when his career is over, you aren't going to get him to go back to the state of wisconsin with a gun to his head.

He's working on extending his relationship with the Packers for the long-term and he's still a minority owner of the Bucks, so I don't think he'll be in Cali or vacationing for every single day of his retirement life.  Packers have a pretty extensive alumni program, and I could see Rodgers doing things for the city and fans he loves.

My point was more that he isn't bigger than the franchise and doesn't have the right to run the team and blame them for any failings in a way that someone like Brady can.  He's been built up by some to be the "best QB in the league" and by a few as even the GOAT, and I feel at times is put on a pedestal that has people thinking that he is a multi-time champion, when the reality is that he hasn't earned it.

Sure, but my point is that he's a bit more than just an employee that should shut up and play football.  What Aaron Rodgers is saying is that he just wants his input in personnel decisions and he wants more respect given to high character veterans that were good for the locker room.  Gutekunst just knows the stats and production of a player while Rodgers knows the type of human they are, and I think in the current analytical state of sports, we forget about the human side.  So, I think what Rodgers wants to achieve with the football team and city that he clearly loves is much bigger that an egotistical power grab, and I hope the front office and Rodgers can come to a long-term agreement using a high football-IQ guy as a scouting resource.

IDK... maybe a guy that's one exactly one Super Bowl and can't use the "but the Patriots" excuse isn't the best quarterback ever (like some claim) and shouldn't get to run the team.  I think people have this image in their head of Rodgers being carried off the field time after time again and holding all these Lombardis, but the reality is that he has only taken his team to the top once - which plenty others have done - and hasn't had as lousy a supporting cast as it's been made out to be.

I'm not saying Aaron Rodgers == Joe Flacco or Trent Dilfer (far from it), but he's pretty far from the Mt. Rushmore-esque figure he's portrayed as.

Idk man, being named the Most Valuable Player in the league three times (tied second most in league history) while consistently having a high quarterback rating and touchdown-to-interception ratio doesn't really say "pretty far from the Mt. Rushmore-esque figure he's portrayed as" to me.  I think having Tom getting his 7th ring has spoiled the general consensus of what a great player looks like; there's plenty of great players in the Hall of Fame that don't even have one ring.  Sure, the goal of athletes is to win championships, but to diminish Rodgers from being a face of the league while he's the reigning MVP and playing his best football just because he has one ring is ridiculous.

It’s weird…this will ostensibly be a lame-duck season…and they might win the Super Bowl.

If they bring home number 14 after an MVP season, there's clearly an extension to be considered and Jordan Love gets dealed off and Rodgers plays until he's 50, retires from the only team he's played on, and then I can die happy.  He's a Packer now, he'll be a Packer in February.  Business will happen when it happens.  QB1 is on the Packers socials again, it's time for camp.

Dudes such a drama queen. He’s getting a lot of favre vibes from me, and feel we will be having the same offseason every year until he’s officially retired for a full year.

I don't know man, I watched him on the Pat McAfee Show the past season and I've obviously followed his career, and he's the most laid back chill dude I've seen.  Private contract negotiations and business matters shouldn't really turn into a media circus witch hunt that's borderline stalking.

I don't claim to know what's happening behind the scenes and that's really none of my business.  I just think there's a big disconnect between Aaron Rodgers and the media's portrayal of him, and it's mind-numbing to see report after report of something some dude's uncle who's a janitor at Lambeau said to farm some Rodgers drama clicks.  His career isn't over, he's going to be the longest tenured Packers quarterback, he's the reigning MVP, he's a future Hall of Famer, he'll have a free drink in Green Bay for the rest of his life.  If there's some issues due to the front office trading up to draft his replacement and trading away players like most people are speculating, then I feel like Rodgers has earned the right to at least voice concerns and push for change, and that's what I think is happening right now.  Season 17 of Rodgers in green and gold is coming up, and the drama can be reevaluated in February.

    I'm biased tho clearly

(rare positive Rodgers news reported outside of the Packers organization)

Well, I'm gonna go see him in person Wednesday at the first day of camp and I dread hearing the inevitable boos from all the emotional fans clinging on to Schefter's Draft Day "accumulation of ... listening to people talk and observing."  Sports media sucks.

EDIT: I have the project to make the fonts for all the teams, I just don't have:

    San Francisco 49ers throwback
    Cincinatti Bengals 2021
    Los Angeles Rams 2020
    Detroit Lions 2020

Your Pats alt, Saints, Steelers, and Bucs look a tad off to me; however, 49ers have some jerseys to use to build the rest of the numbers, Bengals have their number font embedded in their New Stripes page (some extra font file conversion and offsetting for the outline needs to be done though), Rams I've posted a reference for, and Lions there's a Behance page with a decent sample for raster to vector, otherwise traditional jersey samples and Instagram graphics is how I got all the numbers a while ago.

I just assumed the youth jerseys were taken at the same angle as the adult ones, so good idea! I guess I'm trying to say I'm looking for pics like the ones I attached but for all 32 teams, I've tried to draw some myself and its just taken a very long time. Appreciate the help!

Well the Dropbox link I sent you for the Vikings has 80% of the current league numbers, and for the rest, I gather from team socials or the youth jerseys in NFLShop

Does anyone know where I can find images like the ones below of the fonts in the NFL today? Trying to make graphics of my fantasy football league but lack a lot of the numbers (and can't draw them all out myself). The site linked to these only has a few.

    (Vikings)

    (Titans)

    (Chargers)

My go to for NFL numbers is going to the youth section of NFLShop and take them from jersey screenshots.  However, for the Vikings, the actual logoslick with all the numbers is here, and I used this picture with some outline consistency adjustments (the outline is thin on the top for some reason) for the Titans.  As for the Chargers, I worked a little backwards and found some jerseys and made the rest of the numbers by italicizing the Vikings' numbers, chopping off a serif on the 5, and adding an outline, because that's what they are.  You have decent reference pictures, so it's not too much effort to make the numbers.

Both banners look inconsistent. Sure, the 1971 banner is mirroring the original MECCA banner, but it doesn't mesh well with the 2021 banner.

They already changed font for the "NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION" and "WORLD CHAMPIONS" texts. Might as well flip the order of the "WORLD CHAMPION" text and the logo. And yes, the font for "1971" text has to be consistent with the "2021" text, too.

Well, like you pointed out, the 1971 banner is a recreation.  The 1971 is in Rockwell to match the font of the Milwaukee Bucks wordmark.  The actual 1971 banner uses Rockwell for the Milwaukee Bucks wordmark as well, but that's not accurate, so in this recreation, I used the actual wordmark which could make the 1971 even more out of place.  As for the new banner, I even created what I thought the new banner would look like by mirroring it exactly, but the information fits nicer the way the actual 2021 banner is designed.  I honestly don't mind it, it's like having period specific retired number banners.  Also, there may be a chance this means the 1971 banner gets redesigned to look similar.

Do you know where I can find this download font? I wanted to find the numbers too.

It's a custom font owned by the Rams, there is no download for it.  The best I can do is images of each character and a link to a similar font, which I have provided.

What The Font didn't provide a close enough match for this - anyone know if it's a specific font or just something randomly created (picture is from the late-50s, if that helps)?

Most baseball scripts of this era were hand drawn and cut, hence the l's having slightly different loops.  However, Gelato Luxe is close, and you can't go wrong with Fenway Park JF.

That's interesting. Not sure how I'd apply that for this series, however. Any suggestions?

The only real route to make something that doesn't look like the 1940's Baseball Giants would be to recolor the 50's uniforms:

    Irvin%20Monte%207168.89_FL_PF.jpg?itok=Cs-l500.jpg

Maybe make the home all blue and the away all red with no outlines, and just put red double stripes on the away where the orange-black-orange is and no stripes on the home.  Maybe recolor the hat to be red on blue or white on blue

Of course this is up to you though, congrats on a solid thread!

I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if this isn't the correct board/post, but I'm the historian for my old high school's baseball team and looking to identify a few fonts OR find out if other teams might have used the letter before. I'll start with one to avoid an overload in case I'm not posting in the right spot - this is one I've seen in only this picture; in other pictures from the same year everyone is wearing a different font for the B. I realize this is difficult because it's hard to tell even what the B looks like thanks to the grainy yearbook scan. I've reached out to some of the guys on the team from that year and haven't heard from anyone who remembers this specific hat. So, does this B look familiar to anyone?

Not a lot of pixels to work with and it's possible that there's a specific minor league team that wore a similar B, but here's a rough purely calligraphic look at what the B could look like:
