Gary has been great for the sport. I mean, moving a team to Arizona was a freakin no brainer. But then to oversee the franchise to make sure they wouldn’t move anytime

soon? Good guy. Hartford? Please. North Carolina is a great hockey state. No one in Hartford even cares about hockey. Sunrise, Florida? Naturally! Oh, and don’t get me started on Vegas. Such a smart move. I can’t wait to see how much success they have in 5 years. Great fans in Nevada! Now of course there were a few bumps. Winnipeg should NEVER have a team. And how has Mexico not gotten a team? They ARE in the Sun Belt, so they need a team! Its just Manifest Destiny! #DesertHockey #Sunrise,FLHockey

You know what, I think you might not mean exactly what you wrote.

Yes please explain. The weagle is sleek, makes the capitol building, and is unique. If the capitols got rid of the edge template, and turned back to copper, they’d be set.

It also forms a W (obviously) and has a subtle Washington Monument in there. If t weren’t for the allusions to the famous D.C. buildings I could see it being an average to slightly below average logo, but with the buildings featured in there subtly I think it pushes it to a great logo. Still a travesty that it’s not on the front of the uniforms.

Count me in: the only problem I had with the federal look for the Caps was the screaming eagle logo. For some reason it just seems boring and flawed. To be fair though, i’ve Yet to see a suggestion or a concept in the federal colors with a better logo. Maybe the Weagle? I’m not sure.

I was a big fan of the screaming eagle logo. Although I would imagine a blue/black/bronze Weagle could look good

Absolutely. Someone in another thread (maybe this one, I forget) recolored the Weagle to black and bronze and it looked really good. Slap that on a blue and bronze jersey and you have yourself a modern classic. I remember TRoyConcepts did a really good job on the Caps a few years ago with blue and bronze, although the uniform had the Screaming Eagle on it.

I would love to see a modernised version of this set if anyone has ever constructed a concept? I feel like the eagle is a little TOO 90's? But maybe not.

Slap a black and bronze recolored Weagle on it, straighten the stripe and remove the word mark and you got yourselves one heck of a uniform. I’d love to see them bring this back in some capacity as an alternate.

We purposely removed the different reactions since we didn’t want to have bruised egos running amok. I’m assuming the most recent board update is still treating likes as one of several reaction options.

Imagine if "disliking" was an option during ozzyman's legendary LeBron-fueled tantrum.

I'm guessing this is related to "____liked" reverting back to "_____reacted to" when we had Buzzfeed reactions to choose from.

But it does seem a little pointless since we can still only like posts (not saying that’s a bad thing, but if they’re going to change the button and the syntax, might as well give us the options).

I had no idea of this Olbermann news if I hadn't checked this thread. My reading list must be drifting away from the media blogs! Or maybe that even sympathetic folks are tired of the zero-value-added chattering pundit class. Then again now that I HAVE seen this thread, I'm immediately seeing Clay Travis having a full-scale meltdown. Anyway, big news for the few dozen people who legitimately believe ESPN is sinking under its liberalism.

I wouldn’t have heard about it either if I hadn’t seen something about Olbermann on @OldTakesExposed on twitter and then done some clicking.

The show from Times Square? I enjoyed that when I saw it. Much more than Scott Van Pelt.

Me too. That was my introduction to sports Keith Olbermann and it was great. Dry, sarcastic humor like that is right up my alley.

It was last posted to in September 2016. That’s within two years.

So what you're saying is I'm bad at math and if I would have taken my time I would've answered my own question.  Solid.

In all seriousness, thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: I guess my next question would be should I bump the thread or start a new one?
