It’ll look even better than last time since the Niners have their proper three stripes instead of two.
Yeah but that comes at the cost of most 49ers players wearing white socks with the road uniforms

Ravens for some reason going with black pants instead of white this week

Considering how much lime green has become the Seahawks distinctive color, I would be shocked if this rumor is true

How many teams don't let players wear socks that don't match the team? I've never seen the Packers or Raiders allow it. No team should. Eventually, why ask anyone to wear the same thing? That's oppressive.
At this point there’s players on almost every team who wear different colored socks. It’s just some teams like the Cowboys and 49ers have a 50-50 split while other teams will have 2-3 players who wear different colored socks than everyone else.

Can I ask where you are hearing this rumor?
I can’t find the exact tweets anymore but I do recall seeing it on Twitter recently.

And good god that Lions all-gray set. Pure trash. Can we delete that please?
Be careful what you wish for. I’ve heard rumors that next year the Lions will have black alternate uniforms. Not sure if it will be black jerseys with gray pants like it was in the past or mono black uniforms but I’m guessing it will be the latter.

Cannot understate how much better Cowboys navy looks when paired with silver pants.
Also looks much better because half the cowboys players now wear white socks instead of the proper royal or navy blue socks. The white socks don’t look AS BAD on the regular home and away uniforms compared to when they wear the navy throwbacks or navy jerseys with the white pants.

Seahawks in white/navy for just the second time ever in Arizona. Last time was the 2014 Sunday night game with beastquake 2.0 occurring.

White at home for the Dolphins in January for what was obviously going to be a game with playoff implications and become a night game. This is extremely disappointing and has me scratching my head.
Jerseys worn for every game are picked out prior to the season starting and no one knew this would be a primetime game till this week so they probably picked out the white and are unable to change it now.

Cowboys will unfortunately be in white pants instead of gray this week. Waiting for the Lions to announce all white as well to make this look even worse.

The Dolphins look outstanding. Even pairing it with the black cleats. This needs to be their full time look.
Only problem is half the team decided to wear all white tights instead of the proper socks.

This is going to be a brutal looking game with the Titans in all navy as well.

It also won't be the first time SF wears their red jerseys at State Farm Stadium. The 49ers had to use the Cardinals' home venue because of the wildfire disaster during the 2020 season, playing home games there against Buffalo, Washington, and Seattle. This will be the 3rd time the 49ers wear the red jerseys at Glendale.
The 49ers were actually playing in Arizona because of COVID restrictions in Santa Clara, not wildfires. One interesting tidbit is the 49ers wore red for the first 2 home games in Arizona before being forced to wear their regular away uniforms against Seattle because they did not bring their white color rush to Arizona, which has ended up being the most recent time they wore their normal away uniforms against Seattle as they always wear the white color rush when playing the Seahawks on the road.

Seahawks in their traditional home unis for just the second time this season

Seahawks just posted this video but I don’t know if it is from this week or an earlier week. It shows the Seahawks offense in the throwbacks which would be the 3rd time they wear them and 4th time they wear an alternate which would technically be against the rules but we have seen it broken before. My far fetched dream is the Seahawks wear their royal blue throwbacks with the Eagles in kelly green throwbacks on Monday night.

Seahawks back in the regular road unis this week.

I was thinking about this recently: What would be the punishment if a team wore their alternates one too many times? A fine or something? Because like you said, BBTV, they're not going to cancel a game because a team is wearing the "wrong" uniform, especially if that uniform still contrasts with the team they're playing. I could see, perhaps, sanctions of some kind (stripping owner voting rights or some kind of cap-related or draft-related penalties) if a team just refused to go back to their primary look in favor of an alternate (like if the Eagles tried to just wear kelly green for the rest of the year), but one game?
Well the Washington (Commanders) refused to wear the all yellow color rush and instead decided to wear all burgundy and nothing happened to them. There was also a situation where the broncos brought their white uniforms instead of home unis to San Diego against the chargers in an early season game and they got fined $25k and were forced to go WAH when they faced the chargers again later in the season.

Next year the Seahawks should definitely use one of their throwback games against their AFC West opponent (looking like either the Broncos or Chargers) so that would leave 1 more game which I would prefer to be either the 49ers, Packers, or Dolphins.

So I went to the game last night and the Cowboys home pants seemed to have more gray than blue compared to on TV. Another thing I noticed is how much the Seahawks silver helmet shines under the lights and it is just impossible to catch it on a screen.

Again tho, why are they wearing the throwbacks on the road against another silver and blue team? It really makes no sense. Dallas isn't even an AFC team, which might've made sense since they were in the AFC when they originally wore these uniforms.
My guess is since the Seahawks already used up 1 home game for white, 1 for green, and 1 for throwbacks, that leaves them with only 5 home games for the regular navy blues so they would rather use the throwbacks for a nationally televised game on the road than take away another navy blue home game.

So, I am interested in the quotes we got in The Athletic player poll related to uniform rules.
I have assumed this entire time the trend in the "leggings" look in the NFL was a result of the league not having a mandate to wear team socks.
Yet, now we are learning it's because the league has a mandate that the player's legs have to be covered? First off...why? College teams with short socks look fine, in fact the only team I can think of that has socks as part of the uniform is Michigan.
If the league is that interested in the player's legs being covered, for reasons I don't understand, why aren't we wearing team colored or even team detailed socks that look pro style?
Again, this is all the damn Saints fault. They started this junk. FTS.
Players wearing leggings is fine, the issue is when the leggings don’t match the socks. The players on the 49ers and Cowboys who decide to wear leggings wear white ones but the players who opt for socks get red for the 49ers or blue for the cowboys which makes half the team in the correct color and the other half in plain white which looks bad.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion in here but if there was going to be a holiday tradition involving the Cardinals it should be on Christmas against the Seahawks with the cardinals in all red and Seahawks in all neon green and they alternate the home team every year.

Don’t know if this annoys anyone else but the Chiefs should have red end zones to match the jerseys and 49ers should have gold end zones since they barely have red on the away uniforms and the chiefs are in red already.
