Some fool actually paid $78 after shipping for that Ichiro jersey. Yikes.

Man, what a shame about Richard Sherman. He's definitely not a guy I would ever have thought I'd see in this kind of predicament.

Even though the NFL one-helmet rule was announced in 2013, teams were only allowed another helmet for throwbacks up until that point. The Seahawks tried the two-regular helmet thing in 2002, but the NFL said nope.
Interesting! I've never heard of this. Are there any articles online that talk about this more?

If they wanted to do a "BENGALS" helmet they could have with the one helmet rule, no? Just remove the tiger stripes (which I believe are decals) and add the script thus using the same orange shell?

I was about to correct you until I realized their 2014 matchup was in London with Jacksonville designated as the home team. I'm sure it's already been covered somewhere within this thread's 65 pages, but this would also be the only time these uniforms coincided.

NO.
Throwing back to when the team was absolute trash is not going to work. Nobody has any fond memories of that look aside from basic nostalgia of "I remember that." I use to be a 49ers fan as a little kid and I did not like that late 90's look. The gold pants coming back made it more tolerable but it just wasn't doing it for me.
12-4 in 1996 & 1998 and 13-3 in '97 is trash? Lol.

The field looks great, but I can assure you no one within Georgia Tech's target demographic will want anything to do with that ATL script.

And you live in Atlanta. 'Nuff said.
How is this relevant?

An appropriate choice, given the historical significance and the propensity MiLB has to coming up with "double" nicknames like "Iron Pigs" and "Blue Whaoos"
Or "Baby Cakes" (I will really miss their identity, I actually love it and bought a couple hats which I hope will last a long time after the team is relocated.)

This might be one of my favorite helmets in football.
Same. Reminds me of this South Carolina helmet, in a very good way.

I wouldn't call it a "favorite" yet, but the current NFL on Fox package is growing on me.

I like it, but the script was probably too similar to this Mets jersey:

FOX's best score bug was the 2010 version. Everything since has been a downgrade.

I actually like Rutgers' old knight logo (not-so-affectionately known as "the battleship on fire" among alumni).
Holy crap. Now I'll never be able to un-see that.

Interleague play has been around since 1997, so at this point, I believe every MLB team has played the other at least once.
I believe you're right, but I want to say in just the past couple years there was a team that visited an older ballpark for the first time in their history. Was it maybe the Rays going to Dodger Stadium for the first time? Something like that.

He looks 12 in this picture.

I agree. Not only is it far better than the block C they are using now, I can't think of any other team that has an I monogram, so it would be unique.
I always see a lower case G or a funky looking J when I see that logo not accompanied by the rest of the wordmark.

Right team, wrong uniform, wrong first name.

NFL Uniforms Interesting Facts

I've been to over a dozen Falcons games and it never dawned on me that they don't have any retired number banners. Huh.
Also the Giants are retiring Michael Strahan's number as well this year.
Great thread idea.
