I love the Jacksonville uniforms. The color scheme is cohesive and the font/sleeves are very modern but they work. I agree that Florida baseball kind of has that "out-there" vibe, and it works with the idea that they are a 90's expansion team.
Not a huge fan of the J cap logo, but it goes with the set so it works alright. For personal preference, it might work better if the outline was the navy color instead of white.
I really like the series so far and I'm looking forward to more!

Does anyone else have this issue? Everytime Im on the boards the page constantly is bouncing up and down. I think it may be because of the ads but Im not for sure. Its been happening for quite a while now.
It's been doing the "bounce" thing for a like a year(?) for me. I'm like 90% it's because of the ads, so I don't really know if there's a viable fix.

Looks great so far. I agree the Emperors look a little too similar to the Phillies, but it's still a very cohesive and aesthetically-pleasing uniform set. I also really like the modern take on the NY monogram.
Looking forward to seeing where this series goes! Keep up the great work.- 2

If you're familiar with Florence, the name makes perfect sense. My Mom used to live in Florence. When I was there, "Florence, Y'all" wasn't just on the water tower, it seemed like it was everywhere. No idea if it still does, but the city used to have an annual "Y'all Festival."
Anyway, I love the look and the name. Well done.

Florence has a giant watertower that says FLORENCE Y'ALL. Why you ask? Well, it was originally for the mall it's located next to. But, because they can't advertise for the mall on the watertower, so they switched the M to a Y and...well...now they have a giant water tower that says FLORENCE Y'ALL. It's truthfully a pretty silly looking water tower. It's big. It's red. It's striped. It says...FLORENCE...Y'ALL. But it's undoubtedly Florence. It's a land marker.
The name sounds silly for anyone not in the region (I've driven past it probably 50 times from Lexington). But it makes sense for the team who plays directly across the mall and the water tower. It's what Florence is colloquially known for. It makes it solid for a Frontier League team. It'd never work as a national team, but it doesn't need to here.
My bad, I stand corrected then. I figured it was just a general name, didn't realize it had such a local connection.
Just makes the brand better then. They really knocked it out of the park.

I really like these uniforms and the logo package. The name is....dumb, to be frank, but the brand itself is classy enough to overcome to overly silly name.

FOX is using the Super Bowl graphics package for the XFL game, which likely means the scorebug design is here to stay for NFL.
Good. Especially comparing it to the past few scorebugs FOX has had, it is by far the best. It's small and takes influence from the early-to-mid 2010s designs yet is preferably at the bottom of the screen. The font is nothing special but it is adequate enough. I also love the updated statistics on the sides of the scorebug. They are the perfect way to implement live statistical updates into the graphics package without being intrusive. Add in the return of team logos, and it's already miles better than the previous edition, which was bland and took up a much larger portion of the screen.
The only thing I'm skeptical about is the cartoon-esque graphics, and I feel it would be a little awkward if some backup on defense scores a fumble recovery TD or something along those lines and the graphics department does not have a cartoon portrait for said person.

Is he wearing his college #2 here? Must be from preseason of his rookie year.
Yup, 2016 preseason @ the Raiders. So not only is it the old set, it’s the wrong number too.

CBS showed a graphic last night with Derrick Henry in the old Titans uniforms similar to the one above (although it might have been with white pants, I can't remember). With all the success he's had in the navy helmets, it caught be offguard CBS thought that was the best picture to use to show Henry's recent success.

The 1996-1997 NFL season was the last time all 4 teams that participated in the previous year's conference championship games (Colts, Cowboys, Packers, Steelers) made it back to the playoffs. Since then, at least 1 team has missed the playoffs the following year.
With the Rams losing to the 49ers, this streak continues. It’s now been 22 seasons straight with at least 1 conference round competitor of the previous year missing the playoffs.

Is there anyway the Rays could relocate before 2027? The news of splitting cities can't help attendance. People aren't going to show up any more than the abysmal numbers they are now if they think the team's in lame-duck mode.

I like a good team nickname but I've always hated the "compound noun" one like IronPigs or RailHawks or whatever, those are hopelessly minor-league hockey sounding. Which is fine in minor league hockey but not really for anything else.
Like, Durham Bulls, that's a great name for any sport. Pittsburgh Riverhounds is just a bit bush league.

Pro Bowl uniforms should always use monochrome uniforms/pants because of all the players wearing different helmets. To me personally, it would make differentiating the two teams easier at a glance.

I don't know about y'all but the ads only affect me on mobile and while I'm using data. When I'm on wifi I get the usual pop-up but not the full page ads.

In the "IFL Sugar Skulls" thread:
Then, clicking on this thread I got this:
Keep in mind I had cleared my cookies 5 minutes before the first because of a different pop-up in the Lounge. It's getting to the point where I can't click on a thread without pop-ups. It's a damn shame too since mobile is the main way I use the boards.

The old MLF was great and the reason I found these boards. Glad to see this back.

Does the inability to upload pictures here directly have to do with some members avatars disappearing?
(Also if someone could tell me if my avatar is still there it would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure I saved this picture and uploaded it directly here, but it was a while ago.)

I actually like the red. Goes with the logo's color scheme. I can see how the red is a little garish, but I'm (personally) not bothered.

We'll all get used to it, but it's pretty cluttered. Did the update shorten the gap between posts?

I'd make the navy a tad-bit lighter then. It looks too close to black. I actually thought it was a BFBS uniform at first.

For me I sign in anonymously on both the computer and phone (that way you trick the profile to thinking it's not signed-in on any devices but in reality it's on both).
It it took me a try or two to settle it out where both profiles are signed-in, but it works for me now. I've only signed-in on my account on two devices so I don't know about a third but I'd imagine it would work similarly.

The fourth (from the left to the right) is so much better than the one they went with. The gradient makes their busy color scheme flow much better than in the current. Is it a traditional logo for baseball, no, but the Marlins have never had a traditional baseball logo. They used teal and black in the 90s. They were a unique team. That logo would have kept them a unique team rather than having a forgettable and poorly designed logo. It also could have opened up new options for the wordmark as well, since their current one includes the also current logo. The logo to the left, with a little resizing, could have been a decent cap logo.
I guess the only issue with the gradient marlin is that it resembles the original logo with the way the marlin is situated, but that's probably why I like it.

Swamp Dragons > Nets
Unpopular opinion, probably. But that logo would have been a classic 90s. Better than the hoop logo of the New Jersey Nets.

Overall, this is a good update. The new primary mark is miles better than the previous. However, I'm not terribly crazy about the full-body peacock. It looks like it has a cookie on it's back, not feathers.
