I’m sorry everyone, but this jersey is kinda growing on me,
I don't hate it either.

Same. Not sure how much I like the juiced up mussel characters, but I actually like the name. Much better than Miracle.

Eh. I'm not sure how I feel about it? The double green and template definitely gives off an Arena Football vibe. I'm not sure if that's bad or good ... considering the talent level will be on par.

Who said the St. Louis name was horrible? Is it the worst? No. IMO ... Battle Hawks is better than the New York Guardians.

I'm in agreement with you. It was certainly less jarring than the Hornets uniform, which made it seem like he was a middle-aged person trying to masquerade as a high schooler.
EXACTLY!

I feel like they should be playing shirtless more than anything.

Robert Parrish at Golden State
I always found Robert Parish in a Hornets jersey the most jarring, especially considering they came along 12 years into his career.
It's just sooooooooooooo wrong.

Of the names in this group, Dragons is the only good one (says this fan of the New York Dragons).
But Surge has already been the name of a team with Seattle-appropriate colours and very nice uniforms (though with a helmet logo that seems like an afterthought). The Sacramento Surge of the WLAF evidently had three jerseys: one white, one green, and one blue.Nah, green, red and black ...

The Cowboys hold training camp in Oxnard, California, 20 miles from the Rams practice facility.
What's your point?
That's a bad example because they're America's Team.

Blame Vince Naimoli for signing this crazy lease agreement. This is the only lease in sports where the terms of breaking it are this onerous.
Which sounds horrible and unfair ... but, let's be honest -- this is how we wish ALL sports teams were treated for trying to break their leases on stadiums built with public money.

I've been torn to shreds here for suggesting this (It was a long time ago, though), but I've always thought the California AL teams should be as follows:
Southern California Angels
Northern California Athletics
You somewhat solve several problems by going this route.
Why not California Angels and California Athletics? Who says both can't represent the state? I mean, we have the New York Mets/Yankees and Chicago Cubs/White Sox right now? Why not a state identifier?
Just a thought.

I like the idea of the Rays merging with the Marlins, rebrand to back to the Florida Marlins and play home games throughout the state -- Tampa Bay, Orlando, Miami, etc. That's the only way I see Florida baseball working. They can't carry the load of a 162 game season.
With the extra spot -- I'd then expand to Montreal.

In honor of Tony Parker announcing his retirement, here he is in his last season and first season with the Spurs. Both are with the wrong Spurs wordmark.
I never realized how close he was to sporting a pre-AD unibrow.

They’d probably either be just the “Dragons” or they would have reverted to the “Nets.”
The “Swamp” part of the name refers to northern New Jersey so they likely would have dropped that when they moved to Brooklyn.
It’s also possible they would have dropped the name entirely, given the painfully “90s-ness” of it. Either when they moved to Brooklyn or earlier.
Or Knights as was somewhat rumored before the move.

This is probably best suited here. But, this is an article that claims the Vancouver Grizzlies and Charlotte Bobcats logos (even the New Jersey Swamp Dragons logo) were rejected names/logos for the Toronto Raptors. Pretty cool read.

At least, on the front, they wouldn't. I don't think the design wraps around to the back, though.
Maybe numbers on the front of the shorts.
Yup, on the shorts.
If you haven't read the whole story, it's totally worth it.

Well, and considering those saved us from this, I'm grateful for those gray uniforms.

What is going on with that cake?! Is it melting?

Dinking around Getty Images and I found a few fun pics ...
A rare picture of Pete Maravich as a member of the UTAH Jazz (played only 17 games before being waived).
Karl Malone in the Green Jazz Jerseys they stopped wearing before 1985-86 season. This was a game in SLC on St. Patrick's Day against Detroit.
