I don't know how realistic it was, but I've heard there was allegedly talk of the Whalers moving to Minnesota during the time Hartford was looking at possible cities and after the Stars left for Dallas (so sometime between 1994 & 1997).
Honestly I could have seen the brand being able to work in Minnesota too. The colors fit MN great and the logo could stay intact if they renamed the team to Walleyes or Walleye instead of Whalers (Walleye are the Minnesota state fish so it would be a perfect fit).

Love that helmet design for Miami!

I think that works a lot better for the home and road, but now I miss the rounded wordmark on the alternate lol

That split Saints set is probably my favorite from this whole series. I'm also a big fan of the Bucs set.

I love the incorporation of the Pegasus for a Dallas based team but the shape just looks off to me, particularly in the midsection and back legs.

Robert Morris looks good, though I do think the hockey jerseys might look a little better with the Colonial man head logo instead of RMU on the front.

Love the vintage horns for the Vikings

Love the quartered look for the Saints!
The Tommies look good without black, but I would suggest tweaking the jerseys just a bit by moving the hem stripes all the way to the bottom of the jersey. It would remove the little sliver of color on the bottom and would also give the shield a little more breathing room on the front.

I'm so happy to see a return of somewhat traditional stripes from Nike on their international jerseys.
Their recent olympic jerseys have been some of the worst hockey jerseys I've ever seen.

Big fan of the decision to bring back the retro Mavericks shaped like a bull logo for Mankato.
Not sure if I can get on board with the Omaha stripes, but it's definitely unique.

Yes! THAT is what the Bulldogs should be wearing, that's a perfect looking set for Duluth

Love the throwback block striping for Duluth, but I just can't get on board with the lighter maroon.
The Bulldogs have embraced that dark almost purple maroon so much that it just doesn't look like the same school anymore. When I think of UMD I would say that they're primarily a maroon and white team with gold accents (kinda like how the Vikings are mainly purple and white with gold accents).
I also wish the bridge UMD shoulder logo remained but it's not the end of the world.

Both State and Tech look great.
A little bummed the big stripe black jersey is gone for the Huskies but the jersey you replaced it with looks really good too.

Boston looks good and I like the overall look, but the stripes look wayyy too big

We used to just have green, but a few years ago we got white buckets for when we play at home and the home set just becomes way too white heavy.

Loving this series so far!
As a Bemidji State grad I approve of the decision to make the home sleeves green, but I would just go with the green helmet for both home and away.

Great start to the series, looking forward to what's to come!

I like it, but the updated colors make me think of LSU, particularly the home set with gold pants & helmet

A little surprising to see another Illinois based team with a very Chicago flag-esque color scheme, but objectively I like it.
The Lincoln hat is a nice touch.

That Washington set is really sharp, but the color tweak and the blue jersey over red pants is giving major Ranger vibes rather than Caps.

I normally prefer a more athletic gold color with green, but seeing the logos side by side I actually think I prefer the more metallic gold with that particular shade of green.
