In a interview Ryan Smith (the Jazz owner) talked about being envious of the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls how they are all identified by their color scheme. Assuming this means the Jazz try to get into that territory in 5 years, what would their color scheme be? purple, white, light blue? purple, gold, green? something else? personally I would like a purple, white, black, copper, with maybe a little light blue too.

I’ve been to the Jazz team store twice since it was announced on Friday and I think people are buying merch just fine. Yeah everyone hates the jerseys but half the merch is black/white or white/black which everyone wears. I bought 3 shirts. A black with yellow, a yellow with black and my daughter wanted a black/white one.

I REALLY want to see some people's mock ups based off this jersey. Tweak the colors slightly. Make a white version, a black version and this would be a perfect set.

I'm kinda shocked they brought back the exact same mountain jersey they had 2 seasons ago. And i'm assuming they jumped some hoops to get that in again, due to the backlash of the black/yellow. As for the black/yellow/white "remix", I like those. But having the same striping from the current set is meh to me. I'd prefer no stripes to just a flashy silver (powder snow). But overall I like it all. The all-star logo on the black court is a nice touch.

Could be wrong but I thought it was at least 2 years. I also remember reading that statement jerseys are supposed to be worn for 3 seasons but not sure if teams are held to that.

I would think these are different. Probably a modern take on those jerseys since they just had the throwbacks 2 seasons ago or whenever it was.

They will unveil it all from what I understand. The black/yellow/white and the purple. They may focus more on the purple because of the backlash to the black/yellow set.

This sounds pretty spot on to me. Nearly everyone hates the black/yellow/white so lets focus on purple that nearly everyone loves. I'm still excited to see the full black/yellow/white set and get a look at the shorts/stripes.

Not quite. The white leak has gray/black stripes on the sides. Those could be peaks.

I completely agree with this sentiment. Also on the bright side maybe ticket prices will drop back down haha.

I have seen quite a few “Jazz” fans say they will no longer be a fan when these jerseys come out and I just don’t get that. Maybe it’s just a compound of a disappointing few seasons, bleak future, and now a bad redesign, but teams go through ups and downs, to have their aesthetic be the straw that broke the camels back seems a bit much. But to each their own.

New photo of the Jazz jersey coming soon. Looks like a gray-ish looking stripe down the side? Probably their powder blue or whatever they call it.

A random twitter account said the new Utah Jazz jerseys will be released on June 17th.

I just hate how the feathered C isn’t the font. They have a font. Then they have another font for the C. Not a fan.

Go to his twitter haha. Seems outlandish but he got pictures with the owner and described in detail everything he said and saw more or less. Although it sounds like some of it was concepts to me but we will find out. And I think the jazz realize the black/yellow/white isn’t what people want. Although if the 2 year thing is accurate this would have been in the works before he even took over the team or maybe right when he took over. It’ll be interesting to see how long it lasts knowing they want to go back to purple already.

More Jazz rumors. Guy on twitter (@davidkentclark) ran into the Jazz owner and asked about the yellow/black/white. The owner showed him a ton of pics on his phone. White and yellow jerseys basically confirmed. Said he saw a few iterations of black jerseys but the leak seems to be legit to me. He saw 2 court designs, 1 diagonal wood, gray/dull color to it with lots of black. Also said he saw some jerseys they are working on for the future that are purple mountains (but new mountains) and a new purple note jersey. Oh and the dark mode city jerseys will be back next season. So the full set will be white/yellow/black.

So this means Cavs, Suns, Jazz are all getting new uniforms (association and statement)
