  3. Looks like the White Sox and Giants are recycling 2023 pants. (Can't imagine they're going to be able to avoid the template versions in the regular season.)
  4. I want to see if they spoiled the Cardinals front numbers like they did the Orioles.
  5. Thank you. That's exactly what I meant.
  6. Maybe, if we get really, really lucky...more players will revolt against this revolting template. I'm not holding my breath, however.
  7. This is the question I was about to ask. I believe read that Fanatics was going to produce the NHL jerseys in the same place Adidas is currently having them made, but hadn't seen anything re: where the MLB game jerseys are being produced for 2024.
  8. Please play the theme from "Jaws" in your mind while reading the next line... Sublimated uniforms are coming to MLB...soon. I once thought this was ten years off, but now believe it will arrive in less than five.
  9. Not yet, anyway...but the pants are part of the "cheaper, simpler" philosophy that seems to rule this set.
  10. IDK. Nike's thing is usually "why have one seam when we can have six?" With the MLB template, though, there's less of everything: narrower placket, simpler belt tunnels (albeit with the odd angles), smaller NOBs, Orioles' front number change, enforced standardization, no venting, no diaper tail. It seems like instead of trying to beat the knockoffs, they're imitating the knockoffs.
  11. Some observations... 1) I know it's just a rendering, but the Phillies NOB seems especially small. 2) The belt tunnels look really bad...but hey, Nike saved $0.25 per pair of pants that way! 3) Aesthetic screw-ups aside, those Dodgers jerseys look really poorly made. I doubt these are going to wear well.
  12. I would have preferred the Orioles used the logo from this hat for the current BP. That I would have bought. Would have bought one of these, but never pulled the trigger because the shade of orange used for these caps was really off to my eye. More "safety vest" orange than Orioles orange. At some point I wish they'd do an "angry bird" cap.
  13. Love that the Orioles' ST cap is all orange. Hate that it's the "O's" logo. Won't be buying it.
  14. I can't give official emojis yet, but here's a little somethin' for ya!
  15. If they're going to do it, that would make some sense. My guess is this winds up as an ST only cap...but I've been wrong before! (Many times daily, if you ask my wife.)
  16. There's so much here that doesn't make sense. That's by no means the "OG" bird. (Unless, of course, you think the team was founded in 1989.) And if this is going to be an in-season alternate cap, what jersey do you pair it with? They already have alternate caps for both black jerseys...and much as I'd like to see it consigned to the ash heap of history, the "O's" cap isn't going anywhere. Do you wear this at home only with the orange jersey only? Inquiring minds and suchnot.
  17. I like the patch, and that they didn't use a custom font for the NOB. The rest of it is just...ghastly. Can't wait for Nike's explanation of how they came up with this mess. MLB teeters on the verge of being sartorially unwatchable.
  18. You know, if you were to make the body of the Nats alternate pullover red (with blue sleeves) or blue (with red sleeves) and gave it a half-zip, it would be a completely acceptable jacket. As a jersey? Oh hell to the no. But as a jacket? I've seen worse.
  19. Less severe angle...and smaller. The Nationals may be one team that actually benefits from Nike's "smaller front numbers" mandate. The front numbers in the first photo are ginormous!
  20. The true irony is that somebody got paid (and probably paid rather well) to produce something that the vast majority of the posters here would have been embarrassed to submit. The only thing the Nationals needed to do was change their number font (far to heavy for the script wordmarks, IMO) to the block font used by the Cardinals, and make the trim consistent across all sets and they would have been fine. But no, somebody thought these jerseys were a good idea. SMDH.
  21. This seems the more likely outcome. Nike has too much invested in the Cashgrab Connects to allow teams other than the Yankee$ to just opt out.
  22. Agree 100%. While the WFT/R------- uniforms were getting a bit long in the tooth (and the team kept dicking around with monochrome variants), they were classics that had stood the test of time. Caps just need to get it over with and put the Weagle on the home jerseys (while the blue alt would be a jumping off point for a decent road jersey). Their jerseys have whipsawed between boring and bad for too long.
  23. I'd like to see the Marlins go teal/orange/black/white, and return to block font numbers.
  24. 100% agree with you. Of course, I'm a fan of front numbers in general, despite their current Nikefication.
  25. Re: your point on word length. Didn't they render "Washington" smaller than "Nationals"? What the Orioles ought to do is revive the 1999 jersey script (slightly reducing the size of the "oles" and getting the whole thing on the same plane/angle) and put the white outlines back on the black alternate jerseys... https://goldinauctions.com/1999_Cal_Ripken_Jr__Game_Used___Signed_Baltimore_O-LOT68315.aspx Given that there's not a snowball's chance in hell of that happening, I'd settle for the current script being tilted enough for the "i" to line up with the placket. Or, if they could get pullovers without that ghastly Nike collar treatment, just do pullovers and be done with it. Seriously, though...MLB is run by a bunch of old white guys. Crusty, traditionalist old white guys. How is the Nike tail wagging the MLB dog to this extent? Somebody convince the geezers that "the kids" will buy baseball jerseys if they look like NBA tops with sleeves? The new template game jerseys are gonna be worse than the $25 Korean knockoffs they've been bitching about for decades now. And they're cheap, ugly and increasingly boring. Who do they think is gonna buy this garbage? I used to collect game used jerseys. You couldn't pay me to buy this crap. (Well, you could of course, but I'd flip it as soon as you weren't looking! )
