Doubt the Twins will debut a new Cash Grab Connect in 2024, given that they just introduced one in 2023.

Personally, I have trouble explaining just how much I love, love, LOVE the fact that the sleeve advert is nearly as big as the jersey logo. Big ups with the love there!

My thoughts exactly. Getting your first ever headspoon just as Nike introduces a narrower placket. Not what I'd call quality strategic planning. And perforated numbers are just bloody stupid. How much weight did you remove from the jerseys? Certainly less than you added with the sponsor patch. Ugh.

If you go to (probably)notabandwagonfan's post above, you can see it in the X post. Also, the Royals test drove the template in spring training either in 2022 or 23. Uni Watch did a big take out on it.

That AI bot needs to do a better job with collar piping. Otherwise (except for the too-small front number) I don't HATE this.

I never understood having an alternate number font on one jersey only, and then choosing to have your only jersey with a front number be the one with the crappy alternate font. And don't get me started on custom NOB fonts...we could be here for a while.

Given what they've done so far, rolling them off a cliff would be preferable to rolling them out.

The introduction of Nike's template for jerseys (with its ridiculously narrow placket) ought to force some teams to consider pullover jerseys. (Especially two-button pullovers.) The Orioles are a team that would benefit. The current version of their script looks much better on pullovers than full button jerseys. (Or, they could just fix the script...but I despair of that.)

I'd put orange trim around the script and numbers and at least make this a "home alternate". Could easily work as their Cash Grab Connect as well. (Of course, we all know their Cash Grab Connect is gonna be monochrome blue with a white D and a weird-ass number font, but a boy can dream, can't he?)

Here's a question for the Blue Jays fans in the audience: any idea why they broke out the red jerseys and hats for a game on July 31? Is that combo part of their regular rotation now? IMO, they looked good.

The split "Z" bothers me more...and that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the advert does.

The Yankee$ haven't GIVEN IN to a damned thing. They've jumped in with both feet. I'm actually surprised they waited this long. Once the mark of the beast was on the front of the Yankee$' jerseys, THIS was only a matter of time. At least it's subtle-ish.

Late to the party on this one. I disagree. The Dodgers uniforms (the roads in particular) have become a snoozefest since the removal of the white trim layer. Sartorial Sominex, IMO. Stripping the white layer from the Cubs' road set sends them down the same sleepy path. Your mileage obviously varies.

That's probably gonna happen in 2024, when MLB is yoked to the Nike template.

I've been an Orioles fan for a very long time. I was hoping they'd get humiliated tonight and that someone would go full Chris Sale on the CC set. The first thing happened. Hoping against Nike for the second to occur. First Friday night loss of the season for the Orioles. They were 6-0 on Fridays before pulling on the CCs. Ugh.

Agree. I'd also have them get rid of the stupid points on the numbers, return to a standard block NOB font, fix the script "Rangers" and ditch the drop-shadows...but that's just me.

And yet, it was associated with (IMO) their best uniform set. For me 2001 was peak Blue Jays, uniform-wise.

I have hated that cap since the day it was introduced. Don't like the CC cap because the "B" should be orange (really orange with black and white trim!).

Disagree. The white panel cap is just too 70s for me. I'd use the current road cap at home, an all black cap with the cartoon bird on the road and a cap with either an orange front panel or an all orange cap with black bill with the orange jerseys. You wanna put the swinging bird logo on one of those caps (probably the orange alternate)? I won't fight ya.
