  1. Thank goodness Vegas/Dallas is tied at 2 so that we get at least one close series. What a boring first round so far.
  2. Jinxes in sports usually happen when the jinxer doesn't mean to create a jinx. It's why it usually doesn't matter when the fans of the team getting shutout or no-hit keep repeating the words. At least that's from what I've observed.
  3. All that to be outscored by Matt Rempe in the series.
  4. Now we wait to see who we play in Round 2. I'm conflicted on how long CAR/NYI to go -- it would benefit the Rangers if the series winner is more banged up, but the whole rest vs rust argument comes into play. Don't want to get the doors blown off at the start of the series while re-adjusting to playoff hockey.
  5. Is there a way they could put an extra shell or something that allows the helmet design to be seen, a la Steve Wallace?
  6. See, that's what a lot of people believe when it cones to the Rams. I agree that under the current template, there are some flaws, but for the most part, I agree with them.
  7. Ok, that makes more sense. I can see what you mean by the yellow and white stripe being pointless (white-on-bone especially so), but I would absolutely want that blue stripe on the bone pants. I just can't stand stripeless pants.
  8. You like the bone pants, but you'd like to see them without stripes . . . ?
  9. The proportions of the sleeve swoop in this picture aren't too dissimilar to the proportions on the modern jersey imo. Maybe lose the TV number and thicken it a little bit, but other than that, I'd love to see the Rams bring back this look (also fix the helmet color, of course). The fact is that the Rams have never had a perfect look and likely never will. And everyone has their own opoinion on what "perfect" would be.
  10. A lazy argument can easily be made in the opposite direction, too: Changing a uniform to something gimmicky because it's "modern" is a cash grab begging for attention. Modern uniforms can be nice to look at for a time, but the only reason some of them get steam is social media. Uniforms aren't that simple and can't be boiled down to those arguments. Each team's uniforms should be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
  11. The vintage pic looks better to me than the Texas A&M pic (mostly because it looks like a classic hockey jersey shoulder yoke), but not sold on this idea. It'd take some getting used to for me.
  12. Trying to imagine what vertical sleeve stripes would look like, and I'm not a fan, especially at the expense of TV numbers. But to each their own.
  13. A classic franchise like the Packers will always look better with regular block numbers. I don't get this at all. Not sure there's enough contrast to add blue to a green jersey. Your sleeve stripes modification would be a lateral move at best.
  14. The Hurricanes are wearing red helmets on the road again, likely for the entire duration of their time in the playoffs as there are no other playoff teams that wear red helmets.
  15. Literally the only thing I'd change on either of the Packers' or Steelers' uniforms would be a return to block numbers for the Steelers
  16. See, I thought that the white helmet look was pretty cool in the release photos, but I wasn't a fan of how it showed up on TV, it looked really washed out to me.
  17. I preferred the drop shadow throwbacks with the orange helmet
  18. What would you change about the Niners? (if it's the facemask color, I disagree)
  19. Giants are not top 5, especially not with the white road pants
  20. My (biased) pick is the Niners. For a non-homer pick? I gotta go with the Packers.
  21. Agreed - the most modern thing about that jersey is the lack of TV numbers (on the sleeves)
  22. The new uniforms look even more bland to me.
