I can't believe they're still going. You lost. If it wasn't pathetic before, it definitely is now (although there is something to be said about Islanders fans being happy for a Rangers win)

I'll just say that the third period was inexcusable and they better clean their act up before Game 6.

It may be my lack of hockey expertise talking, but there was no point during the Bruins - Leafs series where I thought that either one of those teams were getting past Florida.

It felt like the Rangers/Devils series last year where the two teams beat each other to a pulp and the only thing on the line was bragging rights because either team would get clobbered against Carolina in the following round.

I saw the game-tying goal go in and I missed overtime. The first time I checked the score after OT started, the Rangers had already won. It's strange how I didn't get that sinking feeling that usually comes with the opponent scoring a late tying goal. This Rangers team is just unbelievable.

Just popped into this thread to say that all the singular name options are horrible and that trend should be killed with fire.

I think I would change it now that Dallas had to tough out 7 hard ones while the Avs have been sitting and waiting after averaging over 5 goals per game against the Jets. They look formidable again. Personally I'll be pulling hard for the Oilers to go all the way. 

If the Avs beat the Stars and draw the Oilers in the WCF, I don't see that ending well for Edmonton. Colorado has the high end offensive talent to outgun even McDrai, plus they can play a defensive, grindy-style of game if necessary. I could see that series having a couple wild shootouts, but I mostly see it being more like that game in March where the Avs won in the last second of 3v3 overtime.

In general, when it comes to this, some colors don't work, and it depends in part on other uniform details. Steelers all-black color rush? Awesome. All-blue Broncos? Not bad. All-white Colts? Hell yeah. However, all-lime-green Seahawks, all-orange Dolphins, or all-yellow Rams? Trash 'em. It's a case-by-case thing. 

 

It's a prevalent trend now, but trends often do die out. Like the bright colors and lots of monochrome sets baseball had in the 70's, I don't see a lot of teams experimenting with this forever.

 

I really hate monchrome, but when it really goes overboard is with designs that have already been oversimplified. It's especially bad with stripeless pants.

I literally fell asleep watching that game halfway through. Agreed, better team won. Still wish we got a 0-0 multiple OT marathon though.

I think whether they makes many drastic changes will also depend a lot on which stars show up. Nylander had his big game last night, they'll need more from Marner and Matthews (if he plays).

This Leafs/Bruins feels like one of those games where a loss would be a brutal, franchise-altering loss for either team should they lose.

Isn't half your team gonna be free agents at the end of this season? Seems like this season  might be your one big shot. You've solved the scoring and goaltending, this is probably the strongest iteration of these Hurricanes yet.

I expect this one to go 7. There are very few cases where the Rangers have been able to finish an opponent off early.
