The upcoming NBA season is going to have some interesting new broadcasts due to Bally Sports' tomfoolery. So far it seems like the Suns games will be on a local network known as Arizona's Family Sports, the Utah Jazz will return to KJZZ and the Wizards will air on a rebranded NBC Sports now known as Monumental Sports Network. I am very intrigued by the return of the unique local flavor of sports broadcasting, something that was sorely missed over the last 15 years.

I'm assuming the same stuff will occur with MLB next season as Bally Sports' issues came up in the middle of the season, giving MLB and the teams no time to get something going.

You forgot the Rockets' Space City Network which is replacing AT&T Southwest (they will own half of it along with the Astros owning the other half)

  2. Week 3 was wild in general.

The aforementioned CU-CSU game that was well worth it for any college football fan east of the Rockies to stay up for.

Missouri's Harrison Mevis kicked a walk off 61 yard field goal to beat old Big 8/Big 12 buddies K-State.

Tennessee is just cursed against Florida. Lost 17 of 19. No wins in Gainesville since 2003 when Casey Clausen was QB.

The Backyard Brawl delivered again. This time West Virginia won. Speaking of old Big East showdowns Rutgers destroyed Virginia Tech.

Had a couple of near upsets: FSU almost choked a game at Boston College. Eagles penalties including the game losing facemask did them in. Jordan Travis got hurt but came back in the game. Georgia also looked sloppy against South Carolina despite pulling away. Bama was only leading 10-3 deep in the 4th until Ty Simpson's TD. QB controversy in Bama.

  3. The most exciting game of the noon slate is Kansas State vs Missouri on the SEC Network, which is you guessed it, an old Big 12 match-up from back in the day

Can only imagine the Backyard Brawl later tonight

Old conference rivalries are the best. I miss em

Update: Mizzou wins on a 61 yard FG whoa nellie

The only team that I’d like to see replace navy with black would be the Braves, because it ties in with the other teams in the city.

The only team that I’d like to see replace navy with royal blue is the Broncos, because there’s precedence in their history and would give them a unique color scheme in the NFL.

As true as it is that there are too many navy & red teams, especially in MLB, eliminating navy as an option would only increase blandness, not decrease it. For example, if the Nats, Twins, and/or any other navy/red team switched to royal blue, then they would just share a scheme with the Cubs & Rangers, and we’d have even more teams sharing the same color scheme.

There's always powder blue! Powder Blue and Red would rock as a color scheme and underused. Hell it would definitely work for the Phillies since they used those exact colors before, and the Rangers added it

Yeah. You’re right. It looks like something that VT would toss out without applying the decal because the factory painted it brown instead of maroon. I hadn’t noticed that before you said it.

Could be my phone but the brown almost looks like the Hokies' maroon color.

Looks like the Eagles jerseys still have their old wordmark despite a new one being introduced a season ago (not that I'm really complaining)

As I said for a while, they should have kept this. It had character unlike their current wordmark

  8. Have not seen a post or thread on it so far.

Looks like FOX is on the verge of creating a college basketball tournament featuring Big East, Big Ten and Big 12 teams who missed out on the NCAA Tournament. It would take place between the Elite 8 and Final Four in Las Vegas.
