1. FC Heidenheim came back from 0-2 down to win 3-2 at home against Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen won 0-1 on the road against Union Berlin. Leverkusen's magic number to win Bundesliga is at 3 points.

IMO by the early 2000s they would have gone with a constipated oil man and darker colors until sometime in the 2010s where they go with the above logo if they had stayed in Houston

Brandt hated uprooting from SoCal for NY when he left the Jim Rome Show to join up with NFLN. He'll definitely be with NFLN when they relocate his show to LA, 100%.
I hope he stays. I like the angry runs segment

So they’ll be like Prince or Madonna? “Where’s your ball club from?” “Oh they’re just a rag tag touring group of nomads who go by Athletics.”"The franchise formerly known as Oakland Athletics"

Did they say if they’re keeping the Oakland A’s name, or if they’re the Las Vegas A’s (of Sacramento), or the Sacramento A’s?
Also… I thought there were snags in the LV deal and it was still far from a done deal.

And Kyle Brandt (maybe a few others) may or may not be in Good Morning Football when the show comes on the air in Los Angeles this fall so there may be more

FOX Sports makes it official, it will be called the "College Basketball Crown" and it will feature teams from you guessed it, Big East, Big 10 and Big 12.

And United look no better on the pitch. Newcastle exact revenge on the Red Devils 3-0 in Old Trafford in the League Cup
Speaking of domestic cups: absolutely huge upset in the DFB Pokal. Third tier Saarbruecken shock Bayern at the last minute of stoppage time.
Kaiserlautern ended the cinderella run of the Saarbrücken team in the Semifinals

I'm still anazed by the realisation that the Mets are now older than the Yankees were when the Mets began. The Mets are in their 63rd season; the Mets' first season of 1962 was the Yankees' 60th season. (It works even if you count the two years in Baltimore as part of the Yankees' franchise.)
This feels bizarre because, when I was a kid in the early/mid 1970s — and when I was a Yankee fan — Met fans used to razz us by asking "Who's won more pennants and World Series in the past five years?" And our retort was "You have no history." This whole passage of time thing is a mf-er.
And as of this season, the Marlins and Rockies are just as old today as the Mets (and Astros) when those 2 started playing ball.
Mets and Astros 32nd seasons were 1993
Marlins and Rockies 32nd seasons are 2024

3 teams that have never been to the Final Four since the 80s (Purdue in 1980, NC State in 1983) or never (Alabama) and then there is UConn who are trying to stake their claim as the best team in the history of March Madness (10 straight wins all by at least 13) in the Men's game
