Columbus Crew Soccer Club 2016 Kits

oTNXBvW.png

Primary Kit: The Black & Gold return with another predominately gold primary strip. A checkerboard stripe is on the front of the jersey, along with black trim throughout the kit. The team's slogan, BE MASSIVE, is above the name on the back of the jersey.

Secondary Kit: The black kit returns, but this time with a PSG-esque center stripe reminiscent of the 2007 MLS Champion kit. Gold trim is also throughout the kit, with BE MASSIVE again above the name. The stripe transitions to the socks, where CCSC is written on the back.

The Crew had a great 2015 regular season, led by golden boot winner Kei Kamara and midfielder Ethan Finlay. Young players Wil Trapp and Ben Swanson were developing well, and midseason signings Harrison Afful, Cedrick, and Jack McInerney began to crack the rotation late in the season. In the winter transfer window, Columbus sold former Wolfsburg defender Emanuel Pogatetz to Newcastle Jets, and traded Kevan George to FC Dallas in exchange for Atiba Harris. The Crew looked to improve upon their stellar 2015 season, and hoped to make it to the conference semi-finals.

Next up tomorrow will be FC Dallas.

those are beautiful Columbus Crew jerseys! Have you thought about giving them a third one?

Yeah, it will vary some seasons. They may have one next year, and may not. Not all teams will have thirds.

Football Club Dallas 2016 Kits:

Home Kit: The Hoopers return with, you guessed it, a hooped primary kit. This time, the red shirt has white hoops with a blue line inside. The stripes stop at the back to allow a panel for the numbers, which have a Lamar Hunt memorial logo above them. The shorts and socks are red, also.

Secondary Kit: The secondary kit is a simple blue shirt with white shorts and blue socks. A large star is subliamated on the front of the shirt, to represent the Lone Star State that is Texas. Red and white trim throughout completes the kit.

Team review/preview will be up tomorrow.

As for the team third kits, I thought that since MLS teams usually only have two, I would ease into third kits. In my opinion, not all teams need them, but of course, marketing will drive that.
