yh Posted April 16, 2003 Share Posted April 16, 2003 I'm pretty sure that KU is changing uniforms because they are trying to "unify" the blue used among all of their athletic teams. Over the last 25 years the football team has gone from a very light, almost Columbia blue to navy blue, then back to a lighter shade, then to a metallic light blue and finally back to navy. Over the same time period the basketball team has pretty much stayed with a royal blue and the only huge change during that time has been the addition and then subtraction of yellow lettering during the late 80's. My guess is that the new KU basketball uniforms will be a darker blue, closer to the footballers' duds -- pun intended. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
