pcgd
Sosa traded to the O'sBye Bye Sammy. Who's this Hariston guy? This sounds like the Cubs were trying to unload Sosa ASAP and by any means necessary. Harrison is a decent second basemen. he's not terribly young, he's basically a step down from Gruz who they had as their backup last year. He'll start against lefties.Basically it was a dumb move by both teams. O's get lose their second basemen and gain a terrible right fielder who used to hit home runs.Cubs get a backup and the right to still pay for a majority of sammy sosa's salary. Patterson is gonna have to play center, left center, and right center. Well, I guess that's what he did with sosa and alou...The Cubs should have tried to at least get an outfielder out of someone if they could. Surprised they didn't try harder to make a Mets deal work and get Floyd. I can see the cubs opening up the bank and trying to get Magglio. Unless he signs with the Tigers before they have a chance. I'm hoping Magglio becomes a Tiger
jrodsep
The O's will get a black hole in right field and an aging de-juiced power hitter and the Cubs will get a second tier infielder plus they will pay $10 mill. of Sammy's contract.
