CaolinaJoe
Ralph Wilson maybe "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of thepress. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom ofspeech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given usthe freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes theflag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, andwho allows the protester to burn the flag."Marine Chaplain Dennis Edward O' Brien

rockchalk
Bud Adams, Lamar Hunt, Ralph Wilson...Al didn't take the Raiders over until '63, though he was a coach for the original Chargers. Harry Wismer (Titans/Jets) sold in '64, Wayne Valley (Raiders) was a victim of a hostile takeover by Davis that wasn't complete until the '70's, the Howsam family of Denver held the Broncos for 2 years, then sold, and Billy Sullivan kept ownership of the NE Patriots until 1988. I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow
