slapshot
Lou Lamiorello has announced that Pat Burns will not return as coach of the Devils this upcoming (hopefully) season, because of health problems from cancer.http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2103884 Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016

jkrdevil
This is not good. I wish him the best of luck. He's a good coach. It looks like Robinson will return as head coach. He has been a special assistant coach for a couple of years now and it has seemed he was waiting in the wings to be the next coach. Unfortunatly he will become coach because of this. Robinson is familar with the organization, he used to be the Devils head coach and he took them to 2 straight Stanley Cup finals winning once and go to game 7 the next. slapshot
I found a lot of respect for Burns when he coached the Bruins. I thought they pushed him out the door too soon for "Nobody Likes" Mike Keenan. Burns was doing color commentary for the Manchester Monarchs during their first season, he is still well-liked in the Boston area.
