winters in buffalo Posted October 27, 2005 Share Posted October 27, 2005 I'm hearing no talk of this now that the Astros just lost a VERY close game. Just as it should be, this was a non-issue. As for my two cents, I don't see why they should close it seeing as how the weather was nice out. That's the way baseball should be. If they want the crowd to always be a factor (which I think is crock), they should just close the roof and bolt it down, or just go back to the Astrodome. The roof should only be closed if needed. I agree... if crowd noise is such an important advantage to them, why did they bother spending all the extra money on a retractable roof?It's an outside game, and since weather permitted, MLB was right in insisting they play 'outside'.
