John in KY
Are the New York Giants pants zippered in the crotch instead of laced? Are all NFL teams this way? The Giants are one of the teams that uses zippers; I'm pretty sure the Rams do as well. The NFL is mixed between laces and zippers, but it seems to me that more teams used zippers in the 70s/80s than they do now. Also, I noticed during the bowl season that quite a few Nike teams don't have either; their pants have plain fronts. It seems to be the Nike teams who no longer have the metallic fabric pants.
winghaz
As a guy who never played football (our high school was too small to even have football), I have to ask: Is there an advantage to having laces on the football pants? Or is that just a tradition?

Alphabet Man
Are the New York Giants pants zippered in the crotch instead of laced? Are all NFL teams this way? why are you looking? yes its part of the interntional laws to manhood, never take note or highlight the fact you saw a mates/someones crotch, they know you've been looking....anyway, i always thought they were neither lace or zip, yeh, it would weigh down the pants a bit id have thought, then again they wear so many pads it wouldn't really matter, well it looks like heaps of pads twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
