Shumway
I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's a trial version of Quark out there, kind of like how Adobe offers Photoshop and Illustrator. I have a project due in a week, and my file basically disappeared from my USB drive. So, I have to start over. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be around this weekend to go into the labs, so I was curious if Quark trials are out there. Thanks if anyone can help. fiasco!
Quark XPress trial for windows.i assume you are using windows, if not there's always the Quark XPress trial for Mac.better yet, ditch the dinosaur known as quark and go to Adobe InDesign. that link is for the windows tryout. it's a far superior product.here's the mac tryout for InDesign.hope that helps. Shumway
Thanks a lot. When I searched for Quark, the Quark homepage didn't come up. I was going to download Indesign, but then I remembered that our printing lab doesn't have that software.
fiasco!
indesign exports to pdf pretty seamlessly, and i bet your printing lab has acrobat. LinkedIn
Shumway
I might have to try that because apparently this demo doesn't let you save. That's pretty stupid.
Avenger
For as awful as Quark is, they should pay you to use it, let alone let you use it for free.
Shumway
Indesign's working pretty well. it's a bit different, but I think I'll get the hang of it over the weekend and hopefully finish my project. Hey, at least Adobe lets me save my work.... Quark.
