Gray facemask...

I was watching the Bucs/Texans game. During the halftime show, they were showing highlights of the Titans/Bills game.  They showed a highlight of the Titan's Gary Anderson kicking a field goal, and the facemask for his helmet was gray instead of navy blue.  What's up with that?

I think there was some discussion of this in the other board. It's something to do with the fact Anderson is "grandfathered" to the rule. No one is allowed to have single-bar face masks like he uses, but since he's been in the league over 20 years they allow him to use it.

I believe it's the same one he's had for a while. That must be why it's gray/silver, it must be his own, and it is just screwed on to whatever team's helmet he's playing for.
