I like that alternate jersey quite a bit. The Capitals should be using red/white/blue as Washington's team, but I like the varied shades you used in the update (though I might tweak that gold a bit, though maybe it's my monitor), as opposed to the red and blue in the 72-95 sweaters, which were some of the worst in the league by the time 1995 came around. The only problem is that the eagle crest doesn't really look right in red like that. You might have to reconsider the coloration on there. How about a black eagle with red trim? The black may not be in the sweaters anywhere else, but I don't suppose there's a better alternative, other than devising a brand-new crest entirely.
