I totally dig this concept. I like everything about it (I do tend to lean toward modern designs though).

I'm a huge cap fan too, and if I were you I would have a custom hat embroidered just for kicks. One with the secondary logo would look sweet as well...just a novelty cap.

I don't comment on concepts much, but I think you've got something going on here that's not in meed of much tweaking.

I know you were looking for a Japanese influence, and I do like the interlocking "TB" (One thing that bugs me about the Devil Ray's "TB" is that the letters don't interlock). But I think the casual fan will have a hard time recognizing it's a "TB". I don't know if adding some subtle serifs to the letters would disrupt the overall concept, though.

And I don't feel red is even a necessary color in your concept. The shades of blue contrast well and the red seems to be a kind of "shock" to me.

And I gotta agree with one of the previous posters...a powder blue uni in this set would be pretty sweet.
