totc Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 On Friday, the Blast wore camo jerseys (pix, hopefully, soon -- can't find anything on the Sun or the Blast sites).Interesting to note:1) The Blast's usual front-of-the-jersey sponsor is First Mariner Bank, but the camo jersey had the big Army star logo on the front.2) The Blast has a player named Michael Lookingland. In the jersey auction, that uniform top's high bid was placed by someone named Barry Williams. If you know your Brady Bunch, you'll understand.3) Part of soccer's charm and memorabilia are intricately designed wool or acrylic scarves (see the pix from the Busby Babes tribute game with Man City vs. Man United last month). The Blast sell scarves made of sublimated polyester, same fabric as the jersey. I guess they're cooler to wear in the summer than wool, I guess ...
