Chiefster2000
Have the Bradley Braves ever had an Indian logo? If so does anyone know what it looked like?
hartfordwhalers2k8
They used a Native American playing basketball in 1958, according to logo shack.
Varsity Blue
I recall seeing an Indian in profile wearing a full headdress as its old logo. It looked similar to the Indian logo Stanford adopted in 1968:
bogey_bakes
Have the Bradley Braves ever had an Indian logo? If so does anyone know what it looked like?I graduated from Bradley. In the mid- to late-1980's the school had a logo that was a charicature of an Indian dancing--the whole body, not just the head, in a red-white-and-blue color scheme. The basketball team had the logo on their shorts. We also had a student who tried out and dressed as an American Indian, dancing during basketball games (sort of like Chief Illiniwek at the University of Illinois). The dancer and logo were dropped around 1990, if I recall correctly, going to a B with a feather on it. The feather was then subsequently dropped. There have been various movements to get rid of the Braves name, and at one time the school had a "secondary logo" that was a bobcat.
redlegs420
Yeah, I used to go to Bradley, and they did once have that dribbling indian logo like St. Johns used to have.
