However, my excess got the best of me and I was out of the NFL in 1988. Didn't he play well in the CFL or something though? Played in the Grey Cup, right? He played in 4--count them 4--games with the BC Lions in 1990. That year the Winnipeg Blue Bombers decimated the Edmonton Eskimos for the Grey Cup, 50-11.He didn't do much at all.I searched to find career stats for those 4 games--but couldn't find a thing. Stampman Posted February 25, 2004 Share Posted February 25, 2004 Okay--Phillips did okay--not as big as he was made out to be--but a bit of a bust--especially last year with the Stamps due to injuries and legal problems--missed a few games--but Montreal did win the 2002 Grey Cup with Phillips on the team.
