hettinger_rl
A group of Seattle women are buying the Storm from Clay Bennet for $10 million. Could the name Thunder have been chosen to accompany Storm? It likely was but, i still think that Thunder will stick.
TwoRsAndTwoLs
The Storm have been locally owned since I believe before this summer's trial, however their status in partnership with the Professional Basketball Club LLC (Clay Bennett's Org.) has been unclear to me.Now that it's done, I'd get the Storm out of the '90s SuperSonics Forest and Brick scheme and steal the Seahawks' blue and accent it with gold and some kind of storm-cloud silver. BroadwayBlueshirt
I seriously doubt they based the name of the NBA franchise off of a WNBA attachment that they apparently had no problem selling.
ykiki5
The sale of the Storm to the group of 4 Seattle-area businesswomen was announced last winter. It was the only ray of light during an otherwise dismal winter of pro basketball in Seattle.
