mjrbaseball Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 Just wondering...Has anyone else ever been in the Sweet 16 in both basketball and hockey at the same time before? ... as Cornell is this year.Hockey plays New Hampshire on Friday in Albany, the day after the hoops game in Syracuse. Wisconsin?I'm guessing one of those programs have done it.EDIT: Since 2000 it has happened 9 times. Michigan St. has done it 4 times, Wisconsin 3 times, and Boston College once in that time frame. 2000 and 2008 featured multiple teams reaching both in one year*, both Michigan St. and Wisconsin did it both years. *Prior to 2003 the NCAA hockey tournament was a 12 team tournament.
