oddball
I happen to be watching the 1989 Gator Bowl between Michigan State and Georgia that I taped a few weeks ago on ESPN Classic. I happened to notice that Michigan State has a bowl patch logo that is a gator in the form of an "S" and 1989 below it. Does anyone have any pictures of this patch? It has to be quite possibly one of the most creative bowl patches I've seen. I haven't been able to find any reference on this. It kind of reminds me of the SoBe lizards. walkerws
Wow. I bet that has to be a cool patch. Too bad that there isn't a big database of unique patches like that. Michigan was famous for that before they started standardizing them. I thought it was cool that they continued that tradition at the Rosse Bowl, even with teh obligatory sponsor patch on the jersey.
