In photoshop, I place it and remove the white background but it doesn't help. Any thoughts? thanksAfter removing the background in Photoshop you'll need to save it as PNG-24 with transparency before placing in Illustrator.File > Save As > PNGThat should produce the transparency background you want when the image is 'placed' in Illustrator.
