LOGOLYMPIAD 2011

Any chance of the competition slowing down a bit? Seems there is just so much going on within it, it is hard to keep up. I know it is "1 week" per Event...but it's actually less than that when you average out the overlapping.

While finishing up on Event 1, Event 2 was posted...and I started to brainstorm. Only a couple days later, Event 3 was posted and it just seemed way too fast for me to even give attention to Event 2.

Maybe why participation is already on a steady decline? I don't remember it being this way before.

Just a thought. This is your show.

Previous Logolympiad contests were done in the same way. I had thought about doing a real week per event contest, but the interest for the contest over a 3 months span would likely fade.

I do realize that this might impact participation. I see it more of a combination of the event type (Non-Sporting Event) along with the current time I'm running the contest (October). Ideally, the Logolympiad should take place during the summer, but I really wanted to get it running this year. For the record, I have already received more entries for Event 4 than for Event 3, so I'm not too worried about this. Checking the previous versions of the contest, participation always went down during the last few rounds. I might consider having less events for future contests, but I stuck as closely as possible to the original contests for 2011.

I'll definitely take suggestions to run it better next time. For now, I will stick to the current schedule I have. Hopefully you'll be able to participate in future events.
