  1. Unless you've beaten someone with their own shoe, you are better than him.
  2. There are a few matchups that could be a rematch of over 50 years difference: Leafs - Hawks (last time in 1962) Hawks - Wings (last time in 1961) Oddly enough, even in the Original 6 era, the Rangers never played against the Blackhawks for the Stanley Cup. So if those two teams finally met, it wouldn't be a rematch but something that should've happened years ago...
  3. @bucknut42 @Griffinmarlins @Gordie Sorry guys, I haven't had time to prepare anything this year, and I don't want to run it during Christmas holidays. It's also the reason why I asked for Logolympiad X as a logo rather than Logolympiad 2018.
  4. The non-easy way to download all your photobucket files... Prerequisites Enabling the linux bash shell on Windows: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-win10 How to download: https://gist.github.com/philipjewell/a9e1eae2d999a2529a08c15b06deb13d What I did I installed the linux bash shell on Windows, just like the Microsoft documentation mentioned - this is fairly easy to follow. I did the first 9 steps of the "How to download" link above. However, trying to download using the terminal based application (bash) didn't work, as I was getting errors. So instead of the commands on step 10, I did the following two: tr -d '\r' < photobucket.txt > clean.txt To remove the carriage returns from Windows, as Unix doesn't like them. (My original file was called photobucket.txt -> where I copied all the links) cat clean.txt | xargs wget --referer 'http://s.photobucket.com/' --wait=1 --random-wait --input-file=- This starts a fetch for every single file in the clean.txt file. Note that all images in the file will be downloaded into the same folder, so if you want to keep the folders you have on Photobucket, you'll have to create the folders and a photobucket.txt file for each folder.
  5. @hettinger_rl @SplashBoogie @HRC4 Thanks for the good words. I'm glad you liked this edition of the contest. I'll admit it was a bit rushed and the events could've been better balanced, but I'm still happy with the outcome.
  6. Onto the medals! In yet another amazing finish, we have a three-way tie atop the medals standings, just like in 2014! - - @Bruins and @OmegaRed both won 2 gold medals and a silver medal for a total of 8 points. @SplashBoogie won a gold, a silver, and 3 bronze medals for 8 points. For the points standings, the final 2 podiums spots were decided at the last event! - - In third place, @Bruins scored 100 points. In second position, @SplashBoogie scored 105 points. And the winner of the points standings this year is @Whitefoot, with 126 points! Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who participated and voted. Let me know your thoughts on this year's event! Feel free to make suggestions for future installments of the competition! And with that, I hereby declare the games of the LOGOLYMPIAD... closed!
  7. Six weeks. Ten events. It's now a wrap, and time to party! This year's LOGOLYMPIAD in numbers: 180 entries, 47 different members participating, 16 members winning medals. Of the 47 designers that took part this year, seven(!) of them entered all ten events. This is no small feat, considering the hectic pace of the contest. Congratulations to @bucknut42, @hettinger_rl, @HRC4, @Pulv!, @SplashBoogie, @Whitefoot, and @Whittier S! For your efforts, here's a special badge: - - - - - -

  14. I received an entry with the year "2018" on it. Don't put any year on it. While the next time around will be the tenth edition, I don't know whether it will run in 2018 or later. That is why I specifically mentioned the "Tenth edition" but not the year. The member who submitted can alter and resubmit the entry.
