twi
Hi all, Never been a big (or good) graphic designer, but I want to start. Small, as you can see. I'm making logo graphics for the website for a hockey league I'm in. A little bit of photoshop playing has led me to these looks. I'm mainly concerned with the "shading", how does that look? And pointers? I'm looking for a glossy or polished look as the final result. Any feedback, comments, or criticism is appreciated. The logo obviously isn't mine or one the league uses, just the first one alphabetically in my logo folder. Hmm, I can tell the first one is a no go since the box cut off the oval shape. Obviously I'm a beginner here, looking to get the glossy look I'm looking for, then the shape comes next.
AnythingChicago
The shading is okay. It doesn't give a completely glossy look but the idea of glossiness and the shading are visible. My only complaint is that the edges of the oval need to be less pixelated and a little smoother looking. twi
I noticed the pixelation, maybe it's the way I saved it? It's saved as a .png with the default photoshop settings, I can always save in higher definition or quality I guess? I also changed the opacity of the shading, down to 15% from the 30% it's at above. Looks better, imo.
