1991 Posted February 24, 2012 Share Posted February 24, 2012 starting this fall Missouri State University in Springfield will wear Adidas team uniforms in all sports (exept mens basketball because the Nike contract does not end till fall of 2014, then will cross over to adidas), in a 5 year deal that runs through 2017. this is the first time the entire sports profram and cheer squads will be under one apparel company, A.D. Kyle Moats expects this will save the university about $200,000 annually. The Adidas deal was brought by former Missouri State baseball player and current Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard who is sportsing Adidas equipment exclusively. To be more precise, he said "if they wanted to look cheap, why not just get their uniforms from Walmart?" I agree.
