dolfan13
Besides them both being ships those two logos look nothing alike.agreed they are both ships with water flowing but that is about itSo both of you think the the 3 oars and 3 cannons on each side, and the curl that appears on the bow of the Argos ship and the edges of the V in the Destroyers logo look nothing alike...? Brian in Boston
So both of you think the the 3 oars and 3 cannons on each side, and the curl that appears on the bow of the Argos ship and the edges of the V in the Destroyers logo look nothing alike...?The two logos bear a cursory resemblance to one another, in that both feature ocean-going vessels. That said, there are clear differences between the two logos. The oars in the Argonauts logo are angled downward... the cannons in the Destroyers logo angle upward. The waves that are thrown up by the bow of the Argo, while not photorealistic, are certainly more evocative of actual waves than the highly-stylized curlicues that form the "V" in the Destroyers logo. In fact, the Argos logo overall is rendered in a far more realistic style than the stylized minimalism utilized in the Destroyers mark.Besides, what problem is there if the two logos do look alike? The Argonauts logo that is the basis for mcrosby's update existed long before the Destroyers unveiled their mark. Further, given the fortunes of the United Football League, there is every likelihood that the Destroyers have played their last game.
