goforbroke
Who are the humans that do the voting? Wouldn't there be some sort of bias? Its a combo of the Harris Poll (former players, coaches, administrators, and current and former media) the Coaches Poll (all coaches) and the Computer Rankings which is some mathmatical formual based on strength of schedule and stuff like that.. and yes they can be biased. Although while you'd hope the bias isn't based on thier own person favorite team or alma matar - you also wonder if there is a bias based on what team's will generate the highest TV ratings in the bowl games. One thing I like about the Harris poll is they don't do a preseason poll because its a little unfair to rank the teams before the play a game, and then ask a team to leapfrog another in the standings.
