Discrim Posted June 16, 2004 Share Posted June 16, 2004 wondering why it's Rushden AND Diamonds instead of Rushden Diamonds? basically, they used to be two teams, Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds, then they merged in 1992. the crest used now is a combination of the separate originals, and so is this jersey. the hoops represent Rushden, and the diamonds represent, well, Diamonds. I have 'Rushden and Diamonds' instead of a sponsor on front, mainly cus of my distaste for that practice, and second cus i didn't feel like looking...and the real crest isn't here cus i'd forgotten to check HQFL.
