generalshepherd141
Indianapolis Racers/Carolina RacersHere are Indy's original, factual uniforms.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=6However, in 1979, the team owner, stripped of cash, temporarily relocates the team to Greensboro, North Carolina, which is where their minor-league affiliate was previously located. The original plan was to play there for 9 years as the Carolina Racers, until an arena in Charlotte is finished, and then the team would be permanently renamed the Charlotte Racers. The arena ended up being finished in 1988, which was on schedule, and the Racers moved there that year, but since the Racers gathered a large following in and around Greensboro because of the time they spent there, they stayed the Carolina Racers. This update to the uniforms was because the logo got rid of "Indianapolis" inside it and put "Carolina" slightly above it.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=5In 1988 Wayne Gretzky was traded and the Racers moved into Charlotte, so Nelson Skalbania, the owner, decided to include more black into the uniforms.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=4Skalbania sold the team in June 1996, and a complete redesign of the team was then done, including a new logo. Black was featured much more prominently than before, and the red turned into an accent color, along with navy, a new color, replacing royal blue.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=3In 1999 more navy was added to the away jersey, and a new template was used for it as well.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=2The new owner decided to sell the team in 2010, even after the team made the playoffs just a year before. He minimized black on the uniforms, introduced a red alternate, and also presented a new logo. It shows a stream of color going into a partial star, representing victory. This is the team's current set.http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=0http://s1268.photobu...html?sort=3&o=1C&C please.(P.S. The star on the current logo will be updated)
hockey week
I don't understand the logic on any of these changes. None of these uniforms reflect their time period, those 90s jerseys don't look very "90s", they look like more of the rest. And why the changes to the logo, aside from simply wanting change? Why would moving to Carolina add black? This seems like you had some fun with them, but the logic for an alternate history simply isn't there yet. Spend a LOT of time on NHLuniforms.com studying the trends from year to year and team to team, and then come up with a real logic for each change you make. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

I'll take up on your recommendation though.
