Myron
I'm sure this has been discussed already but since 2010, the Super Bowl logos have been dreadful and boring with no color. I used to eagerly await the unveiling of the new logo so I could buy tees and other merchandise. Suddenly, the NFL decided for a generic logo with the Trophy and the city stadium barely seen in the background. I myself refuse to purchase these uncolorful sportswear and expensive items and I have seen not a soul here in NYC wearing any Super Bowl merchandise. The NFL had a goldmine but blew-it. panthers_2012
You want to know why? It looks stupid and it's WAY overpriced. If I had the money, I would buy gear, but in today's market, people aren't going to buy something that they could wear for a couple of years. I still have a Super Bowl XL champions shirt of the Steelers, but I never wear it. And to add, Nike manufactured it, so it's probably more expensive because it's a "brand name."
