Cardinals draft hats hint at possible yellow additions in new uniforms

I would just venture to  that yellow is an accent color. I've seen yellow on many Cardinals gear than anything else

I go to ASU. We're way better at academics now than we used to be thanks to our president, but our standards aren't that high. Our charter literally says we measure ourselves by who we include and not who we exclude. As a future educator, I love that about us, but I've accepted that in the future I'm going to have to lean on my extracurriculars more than if I had just stayed home and gone to Minnesota when I apply to law school. I honestly think this would be a good opportunity to raise the status of smaller schools and give them a boost to attract the money and prestige that is needed to improve academics, because honestly, I can't justify excluding other schools from our conference when I run into the most brain dead trust fund frat boys imaginable on a daily basis.

ASU is a great teachers school and Journalism school, but when I went there it was just that. If you wanted to be a doctor or lawyer, this wasn't the place for you, that was when you went to UofA. This was the place you went to get drunk and get laid while getting a degree. I know 20 years later, its become a better ce to go to. But when I went there it was different

I like the idea of the Cardinals adopting a sandy gray into their color scheme, but only if they do so tastefully. I'd prefer they lean more traditional, but I wouldn't mind moving forward to something more modern as long as it isn't gimmicky or overly complicated, but I don't think Nike is capable of creating completely new looks without going way off the deep end anymore. I especially don't trust Nike with either the Arizona flag or adding extra colors.

If it were me, I'd go with something like this, inspired by Andrew Lind's idea. Keep it simple, limit usage of sandy gray.

I just get Ohio State vibes from this. As Michigan fan I can't get behind this. This is my hometown team and seeing them as the Buckeyes will disappoint me

I'm now a believer in Sand, Cardinal, and Black, thanks to Nike's "Serpientes" City Connect uniforms for the Diamondbacks.  I needed to see it in real life.  The Cardinal logo and Cardinal Red would pop off of the neutral & strongly-contrasting palette of Sand/Black:

The Diamondbacks Serpentes jersey is my alltime favorite behind the Tigers home. If the Cardinals could integrate some sand into the uniform whike making it classy. I'm all for it.

Someone on the Cardinals message board (ASFN) has apparently seen what appears to be a new helmet. I'm trying to get details.

Apparently, all of the Cardinals jerseys on Fanatics are heavily discounted now.

(I agree on Jurecki though...he seems like he's been going off the deep end lately.)

If thats the case, I wouldn't mind seeing these uniforms

I've been hearing a lot of noise lately on this one:

I like Jurecki, but his reputation has gone downhill the last couple years. I'll rather get the inside from Gambadoro, Bickley or Darren Urban the Cardinals Insider before Jurecki these days. So ill believe it when I see it from another source

actually, I think I can personally decide whether or not I'm a fan of a team or not. I'll do whatever's healthiest for me.

Just saying jumping fandom because of one player or person isn't a true fan imho. You ride or you die. Besides I absolutely hate Aaron Rodgers, but if it was between him and Carr? I'm taking Rodgers every day of the week

this isn't about Rodgers as a person, although I also think he's a legitimately reprehensible person. it's about the Jets having multiple options and taking the one that blows up in their face every single time. you know where their strengths were last season before falling apart? the rushing game and defense. the only reason they didn't make the playoffs, aside from injuries, was that they'd somehow assembled the most bad quarterbacks under one roof I've ever seen. all they really needed was just a decent QB. someone baggage-free and not too old who could take a relative backseat and guide the team without completely prolapsing. someone like, say, Derek Carr. who was tied to the Jets! but, since this is the Jets, they went for the ancient primadonna instead.

why should I have any reason to believe this won't end up exactly like Favre's stint did? why should I continue to support a team that takes the worse option over and over again without giving any indication they'll ever prove me wrong? I'd love it if they did! I really would! but there's a reason this team hasn't won a Super Bowl since the Beatles were still together. and I really, genuinely don't think adding a dude who'll probably retire after one season and move on to appearing on Tucker Carlson is going to change that.

also, the Bucs had won a title in this century pre-Brady. that's not a "sorry-ass team" as far as I'm concerned.

I'm a die hard Lions fan. This is the team, that no matter what has made one bad decision after another. I have had many thoughts about leaving fpr another. But I have stuck around no matter what. Just because they're adding Aaron Rodgers doesn't mean you abandon ship. However if you do Abondon ship and it works out in he nd for them and it leads to a Super Bowl. I don't want to see you jumping back on saying yay thats my team. You ride or die through the mistakes or you were really never a fan at all.

That’s kinda funny since ASU refused to play GCU in any sport for many years due to its for process status.

I'm a graduate and alumni for ASU. I Can't be happy for a school in the same metropolitan? I don't care about the politics and when they do play, it'll be for the right reasons. Sounds like you're trying to make this something bigger than it it ought to be. I have always been a huge fan of Grand Canyon University and love to see its growth over the years.

  10. I don't see the Rams mortgaging their future again for a QB tgatvtgey can have next year. They already gave up too much to the Lions so they can win a Super Bowl. Plus I also see the Lions going after Stenson or Duggan in the mid rounds. Lions need a secondary more than a QB right now.

Well the Phoenix metro is the 10th largest in country with almost 5 million people, they can handle another arena. And I doubt ASU is hosting a lot of other events at their venues besides their own athletics anyway. Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum is 60 years old. Phoenix Rising's stadium is a bunch of temporary bleachers. Cardinals and D-Backs stadiums hold a totally different scale of an event, same with the race track. The only competition would be the Suns arena and their old arena in Glendale. The Glendale arena will be third on the pecking order since its on the outskirts of town and if I'm holding an event I'd rather do it in the brand new arena closer to Tempe and Scottsdale then the older one in downtown.

Veterans Memorial Colosseum is strictly used for the Maricopa County and Arizona State Fair. The pnly time I have ever seen the arena in use is when some two bit hack plays at the fair. The Desert Diamond Arena is about to be sold off(rumor) to the Tohono O'odham Nation which is one of the tribes here that own soon to be 4 Desert Diamond Casino and resorts. They also get the first call for whatever concert or event goes at the arena. Besides the fact that Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is about to file an injucntion to block the Arena from even being built. Sure we have plenty of venues, but when you think of most of them are old and decrepit or the fact west Phoenix also has the Desert Sky Pavilion that most acts would rather go to
