So this is just his opinion or is it based on some conversations he's had with ownership?

It's funny you should say that because living in the DC area, I hear the phrase "Burgundy and Gold" used almost as much as "Washington" and maybe even more so than "Commanders". I just don't see them getting rid of the color scheme. There was an actual history before Snyder and a pretty successful one at that. And it works in that division too. Red, white, and blue would just be so predictably boring for the DC region.

Something tells me we will be seeing a lot of prime time black jersey appearances for the Jets every single NFL team this coming season.
-
Does anybody know if they wore this cap on-field during a regular season game?
-
Can't tell what Pittsburgh and Baltimore are going for here....
-
I pride myself in knowing most MLB uniform changes and quirks but I can't for the life of me keep the D-Backs uni changes straight. Back and forth, back and forth.
-
Has any MLB team ever brought back the exact version of an older uni without any significant changes? Padres, Orioles, Blue Jays have throwback uniforms with modern scripts/elements/logos.
-
3 white jersey home games? Gross.
-
Nationals script is still superior to the isolated curly W on the chest. There might be some nostalgia already for the W due to its association with a much more successful period in club history.
-
In other words, the way they're going every team should just have an all-black uni, all-white uni, and one alternate with team colors.
-
I can't decide whether to respond to you with "source?" or just give a laughing emoji.....
-
I'm a sucker for cream mixed with red elements. Maybe I missed it, but what is the Angels script supposed to resemble?
-
So, like, business as usual then.

Washington Commanders to debut new NFL identity

Washington's Band Will Return "Part of the Commanders' rebrand will include a revival of the franchise's marching band — which wasn't a feature of the organization's home games during the past two seasons — the team announced Thursday. 60 performers will make up the group, according to a press release, and it'll debut this summer at training camp. Co-owner Tanya Snyder helped design uniforms that will be burgundy and gold and contain other "new details." Dear God, they've done it AGAIN -
And now ads are coming. Plus the Nike and New Era logos are everywhere and hats, jerseys cost a ridiculous amount. Frankly, I've given up. I'm just thankful the players don't look like NASCAR drivers.....yet.

Washington Commanders to debut new NFL identity

Seeing the logo slick reminds me of how weak the primary logo really is. It also does NOT help that so far, we've mostly seen a burgundy logo shown on a burgundy background. Look at any of the other NFL primary logos.....you slap them on a t-shirt with a team color and those things will pop. Not so with the Warshington Dubya. -

As for the logos, I'm still waiting for something that looks even mildly interesting. 18 months. It took them 18 months. For this. -

I mean, they've done EVERYTHING else wrong since Snyder's reign of terror- might as well make this defeat complete. -

Washington Commanders to debut new NFL identity

My curiosity and expectations for the unveiling have absolutely plummeted. Of course, as a fan of this disaster of a team, no one could blame me. -
Well that sounds horrible...

I'm also willing to bet the seal on the uniform doesn't include the outer white section with the team name and that stupid 'People's Team' slogan.
