I was reading that the Linc was resodded with the exact same grass before the NFCCG, and the Phila Union play on the exact same grass too.  Do you now what would cause "slick grass" on a surface that hasn't been rained on?  I'm no groundskeeper so I have no idea.

The same turf from the same place was installed in Denver before their game with the Chargers, and they had the same issues.

Also, people were slipping a lot on the non-painted turf as well.

If it was only the paint causing the slippage, that wouldn't be the case.

IDK - players from both teams have stated it was the worst surface they played on all season due to the slickness of the paint.  I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they played on it.

Slickness of the grass... the grass was the issue, not the paint on the grass.

The only problem is, wait until the paint from the Super Bowl logo causes a team to miss a field goal

With proper cleats, the paint means nothing on natural turf.

Paint only really would be a concern on artificial turf, not natural turf.

Also had some fun with a modernized retro style. Hopefully the league considers reimplementing the conference logos in some fashion at some point. I know the blue and red don't go with every team's color scheme, but the push for conference supremacy is still very alive and I think using those logos should matter to the league.

Endzone should be the contrasting team color from the helmet.
Chiefs should be yellow, Eagles should be silver

The NFL tends to remove outlines like that for the Super Bowl lately. Officially, the Eagles wordmark, when on a midnight green background is just white, with no outline. But, of course as we've seen in Philadelphia all season, the outline has been there.

I predicted no outline, but I'd like to see it. Haven't been able to get an images of the Eagles endzone yet.

I will say though, the new Eagles wordmark fits much better to a current Super Bowl field design, with just the logo and wordmark.

That is my one question with this too... I went with it because it's what I had but I think it may just be white on green too

  6. I hope to hell whoever buys Washington changes the name. We know we can't get the [mod edit] back, but getting the Red Wolves, which, if I remember correctly, was a consensus favorite,  would be the correct step to take.

Either that or just go back to Football Team/Club.

Why not? You guys have been cosplaying as the 1960's Giants for 20 years. It may have worked then, but the mininalistic home and the red-heavy road has gotten old quickly. Thses jerseys may be simple, but they are beautiful.

And don't worry about the Bills comparisons, becuse what Buffalo currently wears is identical to their throwbacks in the eyes of the casual fan.

    "ny" >>> "GIANTS"

It's a better look. Its always been a better look. They need the gray pants back, and they'll have a solid set again.

I think both of those look better than the current uniforms, with the exception of the white socks on the Color Rush uniform. If they used the proper socks from 1990 they'd be good to go.

They need to return to the grey pants. That look is classic clean and good. The last few years with the white pants and CR has muddled the identity. It's fitting the team has been garbage during this era.
